The Cheating Game!

I was listening to a Politician from across the pond the other day and what he said has stayed in my head ever since. The conversation was around what Politicians do and say, these were his words “We all like to cheat”!

If ever there was a reason as to why the world is in such a mess, this is surely it.

From wars to failed domestic policies cheating is the root cause. We, the people are never told the truth, only the perceived good is shown, and the picture painted of Freeports is a perfect example.

When it comes to politics, cheating is only cheating when you get caught and even then it will be air-brushed out.

Lying and cheating have now become the bedrock of British politics, indeed world politics and because of it, it would not take much to tip us over into WW111.

When a party’s cheating turns into terrorising its own people….then they become the terrorists!

Scotland is in a unique position, next year we will have the opportunity to change the course of our history. We can either remain with the status quo or choose a different road entirely by choosing Direct Democracy and Liberation.

Don’t sit back and say you are fed up with Politics when the answer lies in your own hands!

Don’t sit back wondering what the future holds, when you have been shown the road to Scotland’s recovery!

Don’t sit back expecting others to do everything for you when you know the word everyone…means you are included!

In short……don’t sit back….get up and be part of the change because without you……change won’t happen!

People in general cheat to gain an advantage, so they embellish the facts to make something look or sound better……we don’t need to do that when talking Scotland up! The facts are there for all to see, therefore there is no reason for us to cheat!

Or as the new Prime minister of Canada once said…….

There is no excuse for Scotland not to go it alone…..unless you make one!

Make Scotland Great Again by motivating the ‘great’ in yourself!

Liberate Scotland have announced their first 10 Candidates.

If you want to be part of this new venture, then climb aboard…..The question is not ‘why bother’ but WHY NOT?

Why not be one of those prepared to stop the rot?

Just believe in yourself!

Its time to raise the flag and……

It’s time to raise the flag and raise our game!

In the coming days, those campaigning under the Liberation umbrella will be announcing their candidates for the 2026 Holyrood Election. More may follow….hopefully.

The Parties involved have listened to their members and the general YES movement so, candidates are also going to stand in some Constituencies. This is a new venture but a very necessary one.

Yesterday I was at an event at the Bannockburn battlefield. If there is one thing I have learned in life it is, that at these kind of events, the people who are meant to be there….will be there!

When people will travel as far afield as Peterhead & Aberdeen to share a picnic with you……you know you are getting something right!!

These people are not about to quit, they are just getting started.

Listening to conversations on the field and off I heard passion and vision from various different factions and no arguments😅….

All things are possible when we try, but the main message was, that we must not give up!

Over the next few weeks, a lot of announcements will be made from various groups. It’s a bit like waiting for a bus: You wait for ages, then 2 or even 3 all come at once!!

So, as we all get into gear for 2026, let us remember exactly what we are fighting for….the Liberation of Scotland, for the people, by the people!!

Decisions, decisions….

Decisions, we make them every day sometimes all day! But now and then we are called upon to make big ones. Ones that will affect our lives every day, possibly for the rest of our lives.

The 2026 Scottish Elections will be one of those days not only for individuals but also for Scotland.

Will we move forward or backwards?

This Election will be very different from any other because new possibilities regarding our route to Independence have come to the fore, and they don’t involve Westminster. At least not in the way a S30 does.

S30 is the Scottish government’s A1 route which is closed!…..and no amount of begging is going to open it again. We must change our focus and stop looking back with that wistful look…..it ain’t going to happen!

Accepting reality is the first step to moving forward.

The reality is that there is a different route to Independence, and the Liberate Scotland campaign, which will soon be launched, will show that route. It’s different……but ‘different’ is not wrong! What is wrong, is hanging on to something that doesn’t work and the inability to say ‘We need to look at this differently’!

Think of Scotland as a blank canvas and be creative as you paint it in your mind. The possibilities are endless….why….. Because we have an abundance of assets to work with.

But….I can hear you say, we will have to borrow billions…yes, set up costs will be enormous. There isn’t a country in the world that doesn’t borrow but we at least have the collateral to back those loans up.

At the moment Westminster uses Scottish resources to back up their loans…..and still, they can’t balance the books!!

Our spending priorities will differ greatly to Westminsters, especially around Defence!!

A little bit of creativity and the right people in the right jobs will change Scotland forever.

The Dream is in our grasp, we just have to be brave enough to take the steps required.

In 2026 we can change the Political map…..just believe and do it!!

The use of words…

Words are important, the ones we choose to use either mean something or nothing!!

The use of the ‘could’ in the above press statement means nothing to me given their past mandates and I guess from the comments many others feel the same way.

Politicians can only fool people for so long and given the incumbent MSPs have already admitted the door is closed, ‘could’ is not good enough!

We need to clear the decks completely! We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

2026 will not be about SNP v Labour, it will be about Liberation or continuity! The choice will be ours.

Are we brave enough……yes we are!!

All, MPs who were rejected by their constituents at the GE, irrespective of Party should take the hint……Holyrood is not your new gravy train!!

We need a new kind of Holyrood in Scotland, one that is nobody’s ‘gravy train’!!… and Direct Democracy would provide that!

The future is ours to create. Every dream must be created and if Independence for Scotland is your dream then you must help create it!

Your vote will be the final say but the work must start now.

The umbrella is up and others are joining in the talks.

Consensus and compromise go hand in hand….

Failing to see the bigger picture….

Offering peanuts to people when the whole farm is available just makes a government look so inept.

Only a vague reference about Independence from our SNP Government. Yet we know and they know the resources Scotland would have if we were an Independent country. Is getting rid of Peak Fares the best they can do in this asset-rich country? Not much of a rabbit!!

The blinkers are still on even though they admit a Sec 30 will never be granted. Unanswered questions invite conspiracy theories and there are plenty of those swirling around, so come on honest John… what is the plan for Independence and if no plan…..why?

But are the other Independence Parties also aiming too low? The suggestion to Vote SNP 1 suggests to me that we believe only the SNP can deliver Independence……but they haven’t and won’t! So maybe the others need to aim higher and stand in Constituencies. Why do half a job when we could go even further?

If we want real change we must be radical and we must be brave. We only have a year to get this right. At the rate Scotland is being privatised, we can not afford to wait another 5 years!!

This ‘Better Together’ lark hasn’t worked very well so far, can you honestly see it improving? Having said that I am pretty sure Labour will fire a few carrots at us as we near the Election date. But as we have seen before, never believe the headlines. The Brexit headlines had us believe it was all about Trade…..it was anything but!!

Don’t forget the promises that were made!

Who is going to save Scotland?

Save it from what you may ask, I am tempted to say…‘from itself’. Because that’s what it feels like at times!

This is what we need to save.

Our assets, or at least what is left of them are still the envy of the world.

Are we going to March through the streets shouting ‘We want Independence and we want it now’ then go home, put our feet up thinking that’s it I’ve done my bit for the year? Or are we going to roll up our sleeves, become part of the movement that is actually moving and get stuck in?

What does ‘belonging’ to something mean? We appear to have a lot of ‘sleepers’ in our organizations and Parties. But sleepers won’t get Independence, they will only hinder it!

You have to be in it to win it!!!

Passion goes a long way when turned into activism. The sleeping giant that was once the AUOB needs to be re-awakened. I read somewhere that the expected turn out on Saturday is about 5 thousand.

Marches still have their place, they show desire and intent.

Since Saturday leaders have shown their intent with one Party in particular responding positively to the call for talks.

Let the talking begin, when adults get together in one room great things can happen.

We all want change but sometimes we perceive change as something different from others. We are tempted to put the cart before the horse here, there can be no change at all unless we initiate the action required for change to happen. Only a Plebiscite Election can do that to act as a kind of Referendum. Given that we have the majority of Parties in favour of such an Election now talking to each other is possibly the most encouraging news so far.

I have always advocated that the Country comes before the Party, so I hope we can agree on a mechanism to make that happen, even if we have to tweak what we already have to accommodate each other.

In the meantime, let’s have some fun…

It’s late……but not too late!

While the Council elections south of the border have come as a shock to many, for us up here, they should be seen as a wake-up call. It’s never too late to get ahead of the game.

Some see it as the writing on the wall for Scotland, but I see it as an opportunity. Nothing is written in stone, change is coming but we don’t need to copy England.

Our change is in our hands and many are joining forces to make that happen…..are you one of them?

Liberate Scotland has a big umbrella, big enough for all to come under but are all big enough to do it?

It takes courage to put Party Politics aside, although to be honest, I think joining others only enhances a party’s status.

Although I wasn’t at the Rally on Saturday I understand from what people have been saying that this is what people want……cooperation.

The word being UNITY!

For a Plebiscite vote to work, we must be seen as one and working as one……I don’t get this ‘I have to look after my Party’ thing, especially when the way the Liberate Scotland campaign is being built allows every Party to do both.

We in Scotland are in a unique position when it comes to setting up an independent country, for a start we have the wealth to do it!!

Yes, there will be bumps in the road, Westminster will ensure that….. but bumps are not roadblocks!!

So let us harness the energy of yesterday to keep moving forward as one.

When the penny drops……

When we come to that moment of understanding, everything changes. Truth can be an eye-opener and sometimes not a very comfortable one.

How we respond to it concerning Scotland’s history and future will say a lot about us as a people. It will certainly answer one question…..has how we have acted so far shown the best or the worst of us?

Before that however we need to look at our present SNP governance because the two are not the same, sadly.

Our present main governing party refuse to even consider the standing of the Claim of Right and continues to accept that Charles is King of Scotland. Therefore in the context of this article, I don’t even consider them as future political runners, although in reality, they probably will be.

So, let us return to the real Yessers, the people who are part of the multiple-choice before us. Some in non-political groups and some in Independence Parties.

How are we behaving, particularly online?

How we are perceived by others, matters! Our words say a lot about us as individuals, and our public behaviour even more.

…..and don’t think they aren’t watching!

We need International support!

If we want to be taken seriously in our quest then we must be seen as serious and mature……mature enough to run a country!!

We have many talented leaders in Scotland who know their stuff but all too often their voices are drowned out by all the dross. And it’s the dross the media will pick up on.

We know the MSM are anti-Scotland but we don’t need to hand them everything on a plate!! They love a story and will make one up out of nothing.

Next week is the SSRG Conference, these folks have been doing some serious work on our behalf, all the speakers need to be heard and their messages spread far and wide. This is the real news…..and that is what we should concentrate on….not gossip!

Liberation Scotland are serious in their intentions……are we?

If so join them, and step under the umbrella!

Money speaks……

……and don’t think for one minute that this couldn’t happen to an organisation you belong to.

Whenever a group or organisation becomes dependent on money to take it forward, there will always be a temptation to take the easy way out. The high bar once set can be dropped a little to accommodate the greater need…..and the slippery slope starts!

A position bought is not a position earned!

Scotland needs to be careful as it edges towards Independence, bad actors come in all guises. First, they will encourage any moves forward then they will suggest caution and finally start actively blocking others, even getting rid of people.

A good leader needs to have eyes in the back of their head…..just like a teacher does😅.

The greatest threat to Scotland just now is voter apathy. We have switched off, and to be honest, who can blame us? For Scotland, it is always ‘more of the same’!

Westminster have worked hard over the years, they want us to believe we can’t change things…..apathy is their favourite weapon.

But has Holyrood in its decision making added to that apathy?

Westminster makes and break rules on a daily basis, did we ever expect to see Holyrood do the same…..well yesterday was a cracking example of breaking the rules if ever there was one.

Maggie Chapman was allowed to decide her own fate!!!

Holyrood has indeed become a mirror image of Westminster and that’s why we need root and branch change.

Change takes courage….do we have enough?

If you believe you have then join Liberation. scot and help make that change!

Disenfranchised Voters……

When we think of the disenfranchised and voting we normally think of legal barriers but another barrier has arisen. With Labour now being the new Tories where do the working people go? Who can they trust to stand up for their rights and needs?

Labour has entered into Far-Right Politics, further than the Tories….how the hell did that happen?

The short answer is of course ‘money’ and where it comes from.

We used to say, ‘Scotland has been bought and sold’ with English gold! But politics has moved on, big time. It is now the case that ‘Britain has been sold to worldwide Corporations for big bucks to Politicians and shareholders. Sometimes they are one and the same!!

When it comes to big business, the workers are the first to be dropped out of the loop, and the proof of that is that Unions are excluded from any of these new Freeport/SEZ deals.

First, their Party goes, and then their rights go.

It has been part of the game plan for years, destroy democracy and you destroy the country. Destroy the country and you destroy its people.

The polls would have us believe big changes are coming with Farage, but will they bring good changes? I think not, but….and there is always a but, will Britain have to go down this route before it finally wakes up?

Unless a new left-wing Party appears, it would appear so!

But it doesn’t have to be that way for us up here in Scotland. We can start the change up here next year.

Are we up for the challenge though?

There are groups of people who think we are and can do this, but there’s a fly in the ointment!

…..and this particular fly carries with it a nasty bite….its called ‘disunity’, having the ability to wreck all our plans and dreams.

Our own individual vote is the antidote! The power for change lies within each one of us.

Use your power wisely!

There is an answer, a place to come together yet remain autonomous……its here.

A campaign to move this group forward is ongoing. Planning any campaign is important, so if you want to be involved from the beginning, please make contact.

Scotland’s future is now in our hands…..there is no one else.

Marching under AUOB is important, it shows desire and intent but we must now put that ‘intent’ into action. Harness the energy from the marches and show our MSPs we mean business.
