Where are we in the blame game?

I have been thinking back to the 2014 Referendum because a recurring tweet keeps coming up on my Timeline. It states that AS made a huge error in choosing NS as his successor.

The words ‘corporate responsibility’ keep popping into my head and thus some honesty is required.

Thousands of us, including myself, poured into the SECC to endorse that choice.

After all, who else was there? ……given what has happened since would the outcome have been different?

It was only after gender politics started to appear that many of us, mostly women left. Now we have a Nationalist Party with no clear Nationalism plans!

My point is though that we are all responsible in one way or another for the failures that followed.

We didn’t pay enough attention to the signs….and they were there, the Unionist press made sure of that. Her history as a Lawyer in Drumchapel should have sounded alarm bells….but didn’t. We all got caught up in the euphoria of what nearly happened and could yet happen…..and I mean all!!

AS admitted he had made a mistake and we must concede our part in it all, but have we learned anything, could history repeat itself elsewhere?

Nicola allowed herself to be influenced by bad actors for whatever reason and took her eye off what mattered, Independence. Yes, the words were there, but her priorities were elsewhere. Now the ball has been completely dropped.

Bad actors often appear as knights in shining armour, some see through them but if the leaders don’t, problems lay ahead. One is, that good people start to leave.

I don’t believe in the saying ‘people are born to be good leaders’….they are not…..they learn and grow into that position. Being one of the best at something does not automatically make you a good leader. Your skills at one job may not be the same as the ones needed to lead, and many an organization has fallen through not knowing the difference.

Labour is a good example and may yet fall because of Starmer’s leadership.

Democracy is not democracy if a Leader can overrule everything anyone else says or does, and a leader who is surrounded by ‘yes’ people accomplishes very little but to collapse what has been built around them.

NS made sure she surrounded herself with ‘yes’ people but the wrong kind!!

We, the people of Scotland are sovereign, we are the Yes people that matter and through Liberation we will have our say.

Spring cleaning…

It’s that time of year and sadly for me, I have recovered enough to engage in this yearly ritual!!

Is it a coincidence that Westminster chose this time of year for Elections? Politics needs more than just a spring clean…..it needs a deep clean!

Apart from the odd By-Election this year is about Council Elections, something most don’t bother about….they are seen as even more boring than General Elections. Yet in many ways they affect our daily living standards and services in much greater ways.

They can also be used to send a clear message to the government of the day, I think this will happen down South this year and to a lesser degree up here in Scotland.

Our focus though should be preparing ourselves for the 2026 Election.

This will not be a washing up liquid job……no…..this will need a powerful detergent to clear out the dross.

If we had an Independence Party at the helm that was serious about Independence things might be different…..but we don’t so our position regarding Independence going forward is quite precarious.

If everyone was prepared to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in, we might still have a chance at least to make some huge differences in next year’s Scottish Parliament and maybe more. If we get the ruling from the UN we want this train will move even further down the track. We need to move forward now believing this will happen and not get caught napping.

Belief and positivity are the keys to success, and we either believe in ourselves or we don’t.

Success comes with compromise, not by standing aloof and alone!

We will have a choice and it’s an individual choice.

Will we choose Scotland before Party Party Politics because the two may not be the same?

The Spring cleaning for next year starts this year!

There is a difference……but

Recently I heard someone say ‘Scotland is not being sold’ with regards to Freeports etc. Technically they were right, land is being Leased on a

25yr+ basis. But these are no ordinary leases.

When we think of Leases we generally take it for granted that when a person takes on a lease certain guarantees and conditions come with it and the owner remains in overall control.

What we have with Freeports & SEZs is something very different and its not just the size of the land!

First of all, most of the land in these leases already belongs to or is leased by others, so their existing rights go right out the window. This includes private house owners!! If a house or business gets in the way of big multinational corporations……beware of the new Compulsory Purchase Laws, especially so for farmers.

Once this land is ringfenced you may aswell think of it as another country. Corporate Laws take over from Local and Scottish Laws, in other words they are a law unto themselves. They can have their own police, right to roam will go, taxes that you and I have to pay living within the area are abolished for them….but not for you! If you work for any of these companies your employment rights are greatly diminished.

Now Ms Forbes will tell you they have an ‘understanding’ that covers a lot of these things. Ask your local council how much they lose through loss of income etc……that might explain your rise in Council Tax.

An ‘understanding’ means nothing and has no legal binding…..its just a ‘nod and a wink’!!

Given all this, the land may as well have been sold because the ‘owners’ {Scot Gov} have given away all rights normally retained by the owner.

It’s worse actually because if a Local authority or the Scot Gov pass any Laws that these companies deem as interference with how they run their business or profits they can sue us. The power of who does what has been reversed.

And you wonder why the government can’t apply Land Reforms…..they can’t because they have given so much of it away!!

If you want to know more go along to this event as see who really gains with Freeports….. Because it ain’t you!

It takes courage to….

There is a huge difference between flip-flopping all over the place and changing direction. One comes from chaos the other seeing reality.

The road we have always thought would take us to Independence has now been slammed shut. For years Westminster dropped hints and even dropped the occasional carrot that gave us hope. They even gave us a kind of Referendum but then altered the rules when things weren’t going their way. The Vow…remember?

It was a close shave for Westminster, obviously not one to be repeated. Since then, our powers have been reigned in rather than the promised expansion.

Surely the time has come for the our SNP government to recognize that route is closed and another must be found. Referendums might well be the gold A1 standard but they are not the only road.

The UN Decolonisation route was set up for such reasons. It is not a quick fix to a problem, it’s hard, very hard to go down this route. Much harder than organising a Referendum.

The history of ones country is not easy to find when the coloniser goes to great lengths to hide or even alter the facts.

This is not helped by the fact that the country’s people have to be re-educated. To learn that 90% of what you have been taught was a lie is not easy to get your head around.…..many can’t, for some the change is just too much.

When the genie is out of the bottle we can’t put it back in, so we have to figure out what to do with it.

Thankfully we have Salvo and Liberation to show us the way, we just need to find the courage to change our way of thinking.

And yes, it takes courage to change….but that change will make us stronger people.

Independence will require full commitment from all of us, the road we take to it will require full commitment from all of us. This is why next year’s Election is so important.

It will be a chance for us, the people to say what direction we wish to take and how we want to take it.

Direct Democracy is about People, not Politicians.

A leap of faith, but how…….

A leap of faith, but how big a leap….?

Don’t whatever you do allow fear stop you from moving forward. Every country that has ever tried to free itself from our English coloniser has been told it couldn’t afford to, even tiny Malta.

The collateral damage that will come after Independence will come to England, not Scotland.

The facts speak for themselves meaning the leap will not be as bad as Unionists make out. The problem I see is not the economy but those we chose to run the economy! Will we allow Politicians to run off with their pet projects costing millions or will we choose a system controlled by us?

The thing about Direct Democracy is that it’s not a one-size-fits-all. It can be adapted to fit our needs and tweaked as required.

Amongst countries in Europe that use this method are Switzerland, Luxembourg and Malta, all have adopted their own unique models.

Just think about it…..no more ancient traditions, no more fancy dress!!!

No more Lords and Ladies….just us….the People!

Let’s go for it!

The door is open….

The door is open for success but we must walk through it. There must be a coming together of all Independence minded groups and Parties. The Politics can wait, Independence can’t!

Starmer is right, the world has changed and not in a good way. It is therefore more imperative than ever that Scotland steps out of this Union.

There is an unseen power creeping over Scotland that few are noticing, it is called Privatisation. By the time their power kicks in it will be too late and our democratic rights will have been diminished even down to the running of Local Councils.

Big businesses will call the shots and that means profit before people.

Words are only words until someone puts them into action. It is easy to say ‘there is far more that unites us than divides us’ but if you’re only way of fixing the division is to make people take your path then you are a long way off understanding what Unity means.

Scots are not stupid and it is becoming very clear to many just who wants Independence and who wants to cling onto or take the power.

If the 2026 Election is to work and be recognised as a Pleblicite election there can be no three-way split, therefore it will be incumbent upon members of all Parties to vote as individuals for a Liberated Scotland.

We must recognise the power we hold in our vote.

Coming together is the first step, keeping together is the next and to do that we must all keep our eye on the prize….the only prize…..Independence. The nuts and bolts can be dealt with after the election as the wheeling and dealing starts!

Remember Liberate Scotland is not a Party it is an umbrella headline we can all stand under yet remain autonomous…..but you must get your Party or organization under it for it to work.

Power lies with the People, not Political Parties!

Working together will bring success so please stop sniping at others. We stand together or we fail!

The ripple effect….

I often write about choices and consequences of our actions.

What we say or do in the heat of the moment can have consequences far beyond just personal ones.

Every party and organization has what I call ‘lone wolves’ within its membership. Some can be rained in, but others will invariably do their own thing, giving no thought to the wider consequences of their actions. They are not team members, their egos won’t let them be.

When a ‘lone wolf’ steps out of line, how an organization or party deals with the situation will define it forever.

The act of the ‘lone wolf’ becomes secondary to the response of those at the top table.

I get that sometimes the act of the ‘lone wolf’ can be seen by some as funny or even appropriate but if Laws have been broken, we jump into a different dimension!

Bad publicity is bad publicity in any shape or form.

Politicians are not good when it comes to these kind of problems…..they should be because, they get plenty of practice!! Organizations however can be shaken to the core, this would not be the time to buckle, but time to buckle up!…… and show strong leadership skills.

We have some strong leaders in Scotland and the continual battle for Liberation will bring them to the fore, some are already at the front, and others are still growing into that role. They will all require our support for the times difficulties may arise.

We grow through trials and tribulations and part of that is having to make some tough decisions. Believe me, I know what its like to have to make tough decisions about colleagues at work.

Sentimentalism should never replace professionalism. It can run alongside it but not replace it.

Liberate Scotland.

Room at the top…

When it comes to Unity within the YES movement, there is always room for more to come to the top table!

The more groups and Parties prepared to put Scotland first before themselves, the greater the chance of success.

For any campaign to be a success you have to know what your audience want and Liberate Scotland certainly knows what the YES movement wants. Liberation, [Independence] for Scotland and Unity within the movement.

The days of depending on London giving the nod to Referendums have gone, another road has opened up and it is right to take it. There is no shame in saying ‘We tried’, the shame is pretending it’s still open and still the only one.

Liberation believes in Direct democracy, where People not Politicians hold the power, this appears to be a bridge too far for some others.

I invite you just to take a step back and look at where we are just now with our present crop of Politicians and Parties. Britain is now one of the most corrupt countries in the world. We live in a world of dodgy deals and backhanders. Private companies decree what happens and when and you and I pay the price.

Direct Democracy offers something very different and many countries are taking that route, no wonder some would be politicians fear it!

Power in the hands of the People…..not just a dream but a real possibility!

Make your vote a vote for Scotland.

Does ‘Self-promotion’ ever turn to arrogance?

Only a few weeks ago I felt an air of optimism regarding a unifying move towards Liberation, [ Independence ].

Positive words were spoken, a promise even to hold a hand out to other Independence Parties. A motion was passed supporting Salvo’s case going to the UN…it all looked and felt so positive.

Did so many of the wider movement really misunderstand the words we heard, did we just hear what we wanted to hear or was there something else happening behind the scenes?

Has Alba misunderstood the thinking behind all the YES groups and Parties coming under the one Banner of Liberation yet still being able to remain autonomous and stand their Candidates?

I am genuinely curious because, for a Plebiscite Election to work, we must work together. Five groups are already working under the Liberate Scotland umbrella…..so whats’s the problem Kenny?

The problem with ‘lone wolves’ is they end up isolated, which by the looks of it, is exactly what’s happening here. In Politics the power is in numbers, none more so than in next year’s election.

Thankfully we each have our own vote, so we will each bear the responsibility of making our vote for Libertion count.

Self-promotion is one thing but let us be careful we don’t turn it into arrogance.

Collaboration with others will win the day for Scotland.

Trying to move on, one step at a time…

Moving on from trauma is not easy but it is something we must do in order to survive and what better motivation could I have than this….

I…..we are biological women after all!

The response from the Scottish Government, or parts of it will be interesting.

Over the past few years, there has been a section of our society who for their reasons have tried to diminish not only the rights of women but change the whole definition of what a woman is. Today they lost that fight and now we women must walk forward with our heads held high demanding these wrongs be righted and our rights be respected.

Sex not gender is the Law!

Our Scottish MSPs who have succumbed to this ideology should hang their heads in shame…….but will they?

The organizations that fell into line must also beat a retreat, including Fife NHS!

It is indeed a day to celebrate and I feel proud to be part of a Party that put sex before Gender and no self-ID.

Let us now move on to another battle, moving together under one banner.
