Well, one thing is for sure, we don’t!
I suppose after 3 weeks of illness, one of which was spent in hospital, I could have had plenty to rant about, but this caught my eye this morning.
Individual power rarely exists these days. From controlling our own money to trying to get discharged from hospitals, the system is designed to make life as difficult as possible.
But there is still one way we can start to get our power back, through the Ballot Box. It may take time, but it is doable!
However, we won’t get it by continuing to vote for failure. The £2 bus fare and school bags for kids will not further the struggle for independence. Neither will an FM who accepts more devolution whilst uttering the word independence. To him, it is just a word and that is all.
We are however our own worst enemy, as long as we continue to nitpick over the words and concerns of our fellow nationalists, we destroy the cause we fight for.
It seems it is okay for the Dept of Health to worry about the possibility of incoming diseases, but if a citizen expresses the same concern, suddenly they are racist!
Get a grip, for God’s sake!
Sometimes it feels like there are those out there just waiting to pounce; I keep asking myself why.
As long as we peehee to these people we allow them to control what we think and say. Freedom of speech is just that, the freedom to express ourselves!
Scotland has the ability to be one of the greatest countries in the world, let’s not spoil that possibility by arguing amongst ourselves.
Unity also means harmony!
