When we think of a future Independent Scotland, what are our thoughts?

I am sure we all have a wish list, but those wishes still have to fit into the geopolitical world around us, and we will still be ‘attached’ to England geographically.

But does that mean the type of governance we choose has to be of a similar type? It would certainly be the easier option….just copy and paste!!

But why ‘clone’ something we know doesn’t work?

What’s the point?

If we want change, then surely we want to change everything that doesn’t work. There can be no ‘part exchange’! No tinkering around the edges. For me, that means that we the People take charge and the politicians work for us!

And that is called Direct Democracy……[not liked by people who want power for power’s sake!]

Maybe worth asking your party if they agree with it!!

They will tell you that is what they do now!!!!

They may keep the wheels of government moving…..but in what direction?

And on the subject of cloning, is it not time to give our Farmers 100% support? Westminster are paying, or should I say, we, through our taxes are paying farmers not to grow food!?!

Have we entirely lost our marbles?

We need to support them and buy local.

There is nothing ethical about marching in support of Palestine for instance, then buying our goods from the people who are still killing them. It’s hypocritical!

Let’s start as we mean to go on, where new means new and right means right.

No, shortcuts, no quick fixes just hard graft from the candidates who have real-life experiences.

The only reason history keeps repeating itself is that we never learn the lessons!

Honest John, hasn’t learned either, because he is also going to ‘demand’. It doesn’t seem to matter that almost every week we are being told No!

But, I suppose with an election on the way, the rhetoric sounds good.

If there is one thing I have learned in life, it is that no person or no Party can live on its past successes. CVs don’t work in politics, people want to see what you have been doing recently. Neither do they want gimmicks!

We want, doctors appointments, dental appointments, a good education for our children, pot holes fixed, and a fiscal system that is flexible enough to help people when global wars rock the boat!

And we can only do this with Independence. That is why this election is so important. We need people in Holyrood who will back the Decolonisation route, because there is no other train running!

There is a reason the smaller parties get shut down even on social media, the ‘big boys’ are quite happy with the status quo, and they have friends in high places!

But where there’s a will, there’s a way and some of the ‘sma folk’ are getting quite inventive. There is nothing stereotypical about them, that’s why they don’t fit in any box!

Well, the ones I know don’t! 😂

They are not into repeating failed policies and they are certainly not into doffing their caps to people in fancy dress!!

They say it, as it is, without the ‘word salad’!

They speak for Scotland and the People and don’t bring any ‘red flags’ with them…..only this one!

When evil stalks the corridors of power and we keep re-electing them, why do we appear so surprised when they get exposed?

We have known about these predators for years and we now know those who have been protecting them……so why are so many going to vote them back into Holyrood?

There seems to be a disconnect between what we want for Scotland and those we think will produce it.

What is it about the Scottish electorate that we don’t seem to think morality matters?

…… or is it a case of ‘better the devil you know’?

Change is risky, but is it as risky as maintaining the status quo?…. Knowing what the status -quo is!

It doesn’t matter what a party’s policies are, or what carrots are being offered if evil stalks their corridors. What we are talking about here is the safety of our young people and our children.

It appears to me that the Scottish Youth Parliament is not just a breeding ground for the elite but also for predators, with no supervision.

The idea itself is not wrong, but there needs to be cross-party monitoring.

There is some crazy stuff coming out at this election, none more so than this….

Does she not realise the internet is of no use if you can’t read!!

Why are we even thinking of doing this to ourselves again?

We must use the List to keep the SNP in check.

We must use the List to give a genuine voice to the People.

We must use the List to secure the safety of all women and children.

The media tell us it will be a done deal between the SNP and Greens again……it doesn’t have to be. We can change that scenario with a bit of courage and imagination.

Become a savvy voter!

The only difference between sucess and defeat for real Independence supporters on May 7th, is us!

We either start to take Scotland back or we continue down the path of continuity. There is no sitting on the fence because a clear divide has been shown.

We can choose to challenge the Scottish Government on the decisions they make, or we can just put our X on the easiest option. We should however remember that the ‘easiest’ option, may be the hardest one to live with.

The thought of change at my age does not come easily, but the thought of no change at all….terrifies me.

I do not want to go past the point of no return, and that is where Privatisation is taking us.

Why has Britains economic forcast been downgraded more than any other European country? And yet we are the ones with oil?

Westminster has failed Scotland big time, so, it’s time to have a go ourselves!

Centralization doesn’t always work. Remember the days when you paid your road tax to your LA and they were responsible for the roads? Then everything went to London and only a fraction was returned after they took their chunk first!

Local Authorities have to publish accounts…..the Treasury doesn’t!

Stop trusting the people in Scotland who trust the accounting methods of Westminster.

Stop trusting the people in Scotland who say we must take an Oath to the King of England.

Let’s be BOLD and choose change!

We cannot change the past, but we can start to change the future. We can start with a seismic blow to the continuity brigade on May 7th.

It’s easy to put your name on a membership role for a liberation movement. But the world is watching and they want to see some action.

This election is where the action can start!

It’s called ‘putting the cat, amongst the pigeons’!!

It’s called challenging the norm!

I know I’m getting older and that I could be accused of repeating myself, but some things need to be repeated because many are just not getting it!

The SNP do not own Independence…….this is everyone’s fight. The simple fact is, a mandate was given but not executed.

There is only one train running now and that is the UN one. I am not going to listen to a man who accepts an English King. Because, get this, even after Independence he wants to bow to a Monarch. Swinney and co are Royalists to the core.

I love this, don’t know who created it, but I hope they don’t mind me using it.

I love it, because it turns every negative arguement on its head.

In only a few weeks, we… yes, we, have the opportunity to send shock waves through the elite political establishment here in Scotland. Because of our unique voting system, winning most constituency seats does not mean you gain overall power. Power could remain with the People if we use our second vote wisely.

Values matter, your values matter.

Don’t keep voting for the ‘axe’ that pretends to be something it’s not. There are sharper tools in the box now!

This is one of them!

Are these really the only choices on offer?

And how much did the BBC get for allowing Offord a seat at the table? This whole election is being rigged to make you believe these are the only people that matter.

So much for Democracy!

The only people that matter in Scotland are the People of Scotland!

Those who seek power should never be given power. Those who lied last time are lying again, and if we don’t get that, we will deserve what we get.

The world is changing rapidly. Today, Hungry changed, the government brought down by its own people through the Ballot Box.

Ireland is on the brink of civil disobedience …yeh, I’m talking about our neighbours!!

Don’t say it can’t happen here, it can. Change can happen anywhere at any time, then everything else follows. All we need to do is make sure the right chess pieces are in the right place at the right moment in time.

Please do not think that when the UN makes its declaration about our constitutional status, something miraculous will suddenly happen… it won’t! And it never will with an SNP government in control. They are firmly committed to the lie and the belief that we must ask for a Sec 30!

Why on earth would they want to change what they already have…..a nice cosy administrative job, plus the perks! They know that all they have to do is keep dangling the carrot, then come up with an excuse or blame for it not happening.

…… and we fall for it!

It’s time to ruffle some feathers and we can do that on May 7th.

It’s time to stop the slow creep of privatisation. Why is it slow? Because they don’t want you to notice it, not even here in Scotland. Every new ‘private’ contract signed by the Scottish NHS, is part of that permanent creep!

Gradually they will privatise every service….and hey presto…. It’s gone!

This is why this particular election is so important. The longer we allow this privatisation creep to roll on, the longer it will take to reverse it.

So, check out those leaflets that are dropping through your letterboxes and, ask the right questions when someone knocks on your door asking for your vote!

PUT SCOTLAND FIRST!

There are two types of leaflets dropping through our letterboxes just now. One’s full of promises and others full of vision!

If there is one thing we have learned, it is, a promise made is very rarely kept. So why keep repeating the same unrealistic ones election after election?

Is it because the psychology of politics has shown that people will always err on the side of ‘hope’ rather than reality? We hope for change, so anything that suggests it….will get the vote. We don’t perceive it as a lie because the greater emotion is hope!

But in reality, life is not like that. We are not zombies, and nothing will change in our lives or in Scotland until we wake up and stop depending on others.

Sitting in front of a telly all day with your slippers on, is not living……its just existing!

But that is more or less what governments want you to do. Have you ever heard of 15-minute cities? Look them up.

The government does not want you to get up and go! They don’t want you to go out into the ‘wider’ community and join others of like mind….just in case you all find your voice!

They want you to keep it local, so they come up with a plan that makes everything look convenient and safe….a 15min city…….I call it ‘kettling’!

You think the nazis were bad….be careful what you vote for. The present, presented can very quickly become a cage! In the next week or so a Bill will come before Parliament denying you the right to protest where and when you want. By the time you have ticked all the compliance boxes there will be no point left in protesting.

Will Scotland follow? …..watch this space!

If they can lock you out of your own parliament or stop you making a speech within its grounds…..what next?

The leaflets that show vision, also show courage.

The courage of people, ordinary people, like you and me who have found their voices and are brave enough to say, ‘enough is enough’.

This is my country, I am Sovereign and I want it back!

There are many ways to fight other than with fists! Words and deeds are more effective. There is power in the word NO!

There is even more power when you learn what it means to be Sovereign.

A Devolutionist is a person who knows their power but refuses to exercise it, because the ‘gravy train’ is too enticing!

Where is the army of YESSERS?

Somebody recently said to me, ‘Young people don’t come to political or any other meetings because they say, they are full of “old people”!! Don’t they realise that if they came…..we wouldn’t need to?

We need to challenge the younger generation to take over the fight, because there is a fight to be won.

Maybe we should consider changing our approach when speaking to them. Should we ask for their opinion or advice to a problem instead of offering ours?…..just a thought.

Here is a positive vision…..

The most infuriating thing about a Jigsaw is getting to the end and finding there’s one piece missing. Holyrood is a bit like that, it has become a place where only the big boys can pose. The List was supposed to allow the smaller parties to have a say. But that piece is missing now.

Only you can put it back!

Polls have become marketing tools. Just think about what we are being sold at the moment…..SNP massive lead…..really? I have yet to speak to one woman who is going to vote for them on the List.

People are beginning to get that the SNP will probably get most of the constituency vote, but they also realise that they will need to be kept in check! And that is where the List vote comes into play.

Never be afraid to go against what seems to be the flow!

Westminster wants the SNP to win, because they know the Union will be in safe hands. There is nothing Swinney can promise regarding Independence that he couldn’t have done before this Election. He could have started by allowing this one to be a Plebiscite election. That at least would have been a show of intent.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

I won’t be shamed again…..will you?

There is a man down in London who says the people of Scotland will not be given any avenue out of this so-called Union. He seems to think the desire for Independence is just a rue by the the SNP! …..at least, that’s what he says!!!

But let’s remember this man isn’t just a politician he’s also a legal man, an expert in twisting words and making lies seem truths, and black seem white! He wants you to believe that it’s only the SNP that wants independence, which is ironic really because the reality is, they don’t…….but we do!!

Getting back to the missing piece!

The missing piece in politics today, is the voice of the People. We need people who will say it as it is, not wrap things up in fancy words. We need people who want practical outcomes today, not theories that might work tomorrow.

We want people in Holyrood who believe outcomes are more important than their incomes.

We want people who will buy their own poppy on Remembrance Day and not charge it to the taxpayer.

We need to remind those who think they run Holyrood, that this is our Parliament and they can’t just make up the rules as they go along. Like stopping candidates from making speeches outside….was that even legal?

All they did was once again show their hatred for women….well we won’t forget!

The bottom line is, we need people with……

There are many good candidates out there vying for your vote, I will voting for this one on the list….

Check them out in your area….you might get a pleasant surprise!

Be the reason why Scotland is changing, and show that we, the People of Scotland are no longer afraid of what is possible!

Scotland, no longer believes that it is ‘too wee and too small’ to become a successful nation on the world stage.

Our nation has woken up to a truth, a truth that can never be hidden again…..but what we do with it will either push us forward or drag us backwards for years to come.

We have choices to make and some will be hard. If you want continuity and no hassle, then there is no point in reading any further, because I don’t do continuity!

I am also too old to change my ways, all of my life I have believed that every human being has the right to choose their own destiny and that right extends to countries as well. I also believe we have the right to make our own mistakes, that is way we learn.

If you give up, it means you didn’t want it badly enough. Dreams have to be fought for, they don’t just happen, if Independence is your dream, then you will have to fight for it. And the first rung on the ladder is on. MAY 7th.

Why the urgency?

Because through Freeports and all the Special Enterprise Zones [SEZs] Scotland is being handed over to Foreign colgomerates acre by acre, field by field. And we won’t get them back until they are wastelands that will cost a fortune to buy back and revive.

Private money soon runs dry when the profits drop.

We need people in Holyrood who will fight to stop these shady deals at source. We need deals that will enrich our nation, not bleed it dry. I am not against profit per se but I am against greed. I am also against deals that offer tax breaks that our own businesses don’t get…unless of course they operate within the ‘zone’!

These ‘deregulated zones’ mean exactly what they say, ‘deregulated’! “The removal of government rules”

Just think about that for a moment. Two-tier policing doesn’t even touch it!

Most people today have no idea what their own government is doing in plain sight. The deal presented comes in a box tied with a pretty ribbon….so we ask no questions.

I wonder how Trump felt signing up to that lot!

No doubt in his twisted mind, he won. When will mankind ever realise there are no winners in any war? War is failure whoever fires the first shot. But this one really broke the norm. Not only were the countries involved talking to each other, a madman decided to go to war on the say so of a Real Estate salesman. Not his military advisors.

America, will never be great again, if it ever was!

Unfortunately, here in Scotland, since the Salmond years, we have never seen Leaders wanting to make Scotland great again! It’s been ‘cosy slipper’ time.

The rhetoric was there, but not the passion or the drive. It was ‘Grand old Duke of York’ time……and we fell for it, hook line and sinker!

Are we going to do it again?

Are we going to fall for, ‘I will insist’?

Do we even want another Sec 30 Referendum, the biggest stitch-up that ever was?

No we don’t.

We already have the right to govern ourselves, we just need the courage to walk the road in a way which will be internationally recognised.

Please get it……there is no United Kingdom!

Although I dislike the phrase ‘the only one’, I’m going to use it.😄

Only the ISP have supported the aims of Salvo throughout its journey. They did so, not because it was the only train running but because they knew this route would eventually lead us to our own democratic event.

The UN cannot give us Independence, we must do that on our own. And that won’t happen with Devolutionists in Holyrood!

Only you can put the right bums in the right seats!

We need a democratic rebellion to bring about the political event required for Scotland to set its sails for Independence.

Enough rebels in Holyrood can upset the power balance and make their own demands……your demands!
