To make the impossible, possible we have to be prepared to change.

To reach the goal of Independence we must learn to adapt to the different Political circumstances surrounding us.

The Referendum game did not end because the Scotland Act changed but rather because Westminster are using their get out clause, where Unionist MPs have the right to veto it. In short, we need their permission!

Then it got worse, the ‘it’s not the right time’ became never!

The fight however is far from over because we can also change the rules of engagement. We have learned there is more than one way to skin a cat!

Andy Murry did not reach the pinnacle of his career by running away after each defeat, no he ramped up his determination a few notches until he won and kept on winning.

Through Salvo and Liberation, the notches have been ramped up, our map was redrawn, one that bypasses Westminster. The fun part being that this route map already has Wesminsters signature on it at an International level.

Westminster signed up to the principles of Decolonization even though they lied in order to keep us off the list, but obviously forgot the small print!!!

Decolonization, the undoing of Colonialism. It is our right to govern ourselves and it is the people’s right to make this happen no matter what our First Ministers have signed us up to in the past. Acts do not replace Treaties just as a Mandatory Referendum can not be replaced by an Optional one and taken as a given.

We had the latter, where the strict rules did not apply and as we know was rigged from day one!

Politicians are experts at ‘circumnavigation’! They circumnavigate questions, they circumnavigate Laws, especially International ones.

So our new startergy must be circumnavigating them and just take the alternative route.

There is no doubt in my mind that Westminster will regard this as an ‘aggressive move’ but once Liberation is registered and goes for Decolonization my understanding is they can do nothing about it but wait until the process ends. There can be no interference with that process in any shape or form.

When I sit back and think about what is happening in Scotland today I think I must be living in the world of the 1600s. A time when Landowners and Barons ruled over the land and all that lived on it.

In those days the people didn’t have an individual say, today we have a voice but no one listens, not even those who are supposed to represent us so we end up fighting almost the same battles on the same ground!

Money speaks and here in Scotland it is speaking very loudly, well above all of our voices….so what can we do?

Last week in France farmers drove herds of sheep through the streets of different cities! Usually though, they just down tools and walk away until the goverment changes course.

Our TVs are full of pictures covering the violent, angry protests all over this country. I don’t think this is the answer because violence is never the answer and it just gives the goverment an excuse to bring in draconian laws that deny people the right to protest. No, we have to think of something different, a peaceful way of making the power brokers sit up and take notice. This is one way….

The introduction of Democratic Elections was supposed to change the way we were governed but the Libertarian movement are circumnavigating their way around all those rules, aided and abeted by those who instead of protecting the people are making up new rules to fit the new agenda.

Our entrepreneur-loving MPs have quietly changed the rules without us noticing, our response must be a change in our habits.

We have a choice, either we continue to sit back and let the Politicians handle it or WE start acting like the Sovereign People we are…..it’s that simple!

The so-called British State has been carefully crafted to keep us Scots in our place. In Westminster our MPs are ridiculed just to remind them of how unimportant they are and in turn how unimportant we are….and the saddest thing of all is, we act as if we are.

Keeping People in their place is all about power and manipulation, we may not feel we are being manipulated but we are. The message we are continually told is ‘we owe them and without them we would be too poor’!

You do realise that manipulation is a form of abuse…..yes abuse! We have become so used to being treated like this we don’t see it as abuse…but abuse it is.

As in any abusive relationship, the purpose of the perpetrator is to make sure all escape routes are closed to the point we don’t even try anymore.

But believe me, as one who escaped such a relationship there is always a way out, you just have to believe you can do it! Don’t let the fear of the unknown hold you back, there are thousands waiting to catch you as we support each other on this new journey.

The feeling of taking your own life back into your own hands is indeed liberating, think then of what it will feel like as a Country!!

As a nation, we need to learn how to walk tall again. Our history shows our capabilities, they are still there, they have just been in a forced hibernation.

That’s what Liberation.scot is all about, a vehicle out of captivity and there’s plenty room on board for all.

The Scottish Government through Freeports and SEZs are selling off the land we stand on with leases anything from 25 years to 100! In fact, it is worse that that, it is our money they are using to attract investors. Investments are about profit…for them not us.

Imagine a Scotland where in some businesses the profits were ploughed back into the country. How about our own Bank for a start? We were promised this, but no….instead our assets are almost being given away and signing contracts like these mean we are shut out of our own land.

With Flamingo Land, the right to roam the Bonnie Banks will be gone for good.

Now is the time to reassert ourselves, we are not down and out, we are just starting!

Another day, another promise broken and there’s not a thing we can do about it…….or can we?

Yes, we can, but here’s the rub…..do we care enough to want to?

Taking a swipe at Pensioners is only the beginning, just wait until the Budget in October and I doubt if the Scottish Government will be able to mitigate any of it without itself having to raise taxes.

On paper Scotland is one of the richest nations on the planet yet we remain one of the poorest….are you going to tell me you are happy with that?

The ‘Black hole is supposedly £20+B, Scotland assets are at very least north of a Trillion, so guess who is going to fill it?

But yesterday Labour were in ‘quick fix’ mode, they needed to show they were doing something, even if that something was breaking a promise. Only a year ago Starmer berated the Tories for even thinking about it!!

We can fix this but not with the present system because the present system is in place to keep us in our places!

We have what is called ‘the nodding dog syndrome’ and thus complicit in all Westminster does to us.

Its time to growl and say NO!

A new system will soon present itself, a number of groups are working in the background preparing the ground….so…no…Scotland would not be going in blind!…and no, I am not privy to any of this but I do trust the people who are!

And ‘trust’ is the keyword here. Why do I trust them? Because they are not Politicians for a start😅 but also they are seeking expert advice!

The violence that is spilling out on the streets of England does not need to happen up here, but it will if we don’t start and take control of our own destiny.

So Labour MPs can’t be trusted to speak for themselves, either that or they are so dumbstruck by their owns Chancellors choices that they really don’t know what to say.

I say ‘choices’ because that’s exactly what is was. It appears supporting Ukraine and Israel is more important than supporting your own people.

Like a number of Pensioners, I have two pensions, but this is more than just about the money I will lose, its the principle. We have worked hard all of our lives in order that we could maintain a reasonable standard of living in our retirement and not have to rely on benefits. Now that quality of living is being eroded because of the choices the very wealthy are making. In other words, we are being punished for the financial choices we made whilst working even though we were encouraged to do so by adding the top-up schemes….government schemes like SERPS etc.

This is a raid on our pensions because we are easy pickings as they remind us that Pensions of any sort are now benefits. This is morally wrong on so many levels.

Okay rant over!!

One of the greatest mistakes we make when go to vote is that we are only giving our Representatives [MPs & MSPs] permission to carry out the things written within their Manifestos. When they go ‘off piste’ and do something completely off the wall, we protest and quite rightly so!

Perhaps though, the problem goes much deeper than that, perhaps we just don’t understand the system.

Do we misconceive the principles behind Elections?

Under English principles, when we vote we hand over Sovereignty to Parliamentarians, MPs!

Now think about that for a moment and what that means for us in Scotland.

In Scotland, the People are Sovereign, so why every 5 years do we say to our new MPs, ‘Here I hand all of my power over to you…..all of it!’ because that’s what we do, they become custodians of our Sovereign Power which is much more than just giving them permission to carry out some Policies! And that means they can do whatever the hell they like!

We have to remember we are living within an English Parliamentry system and under that system Parliament is Sovereign not the People!

No Scottish Party who wants Independence should be standing on those English principles.

It was never meant to be like this but it has become this and it must change!

Politicians who want the same system in Scotland do so that they in turn can retain Power.

Its all about the Power game!

Liberation is about the Sovereignty of the People not Politicians or Parliament.

This is your movement!

Instead of trying something old, why not try something new?

The change everybody wanted is proving just to be a re-hash of what we had in the Blair/ Brown days. Socialism as we once knew it is dead and buried as Labour dig their teeth into Pensioners.

We seem to be going round in circles…

We need people who can think outside of the box. I say ‘people’ because it is painfully obvious that the Politicians we have at the moment are incapable of doing so.

Can Scotland produce a different kind of Politician?

Ones who are prepared to work with the people. Ones who recognize that the People are Sovereign, not Parliament.

Ones who stand on true Democracy.

We need at least one!

We need Party leaders who don’t seek Power for Power’s sake.

We do have a Constitution to build on! So I am in no doubt a Peoples [not Salvo!] convention will follow sooner rather than later.

They can’t skip any steps, they must dot all the I’s and cross all the T’s.

I have just had a very interesting conversation with someone who for 20minutes told me why people are just not interested in politics or political parties anymore!

It’s hard to listen to the truth and even harder to realise that the task ahead borders on the near impossible.

The word that stuck in my mind was “insular”!

We have become a very insular society, the only world we see is that of what is immediately around us, our homes, our families. There is no such this as community anymore, many don’t even know who their neighbours are. So why would they be interested in the wider community or even country.

Our minds are solely focused on our own little worlds everyday, all day!

Its all about me!

The word ‘insular’ means just that. “uninterested in people and cultures outside one’s own experience”

I asked him how we can change that, the answer was, “something would need to happen to give people hope again”!

My immediate thought turned to Liberation and what the committee are taking forward to the UN.

Will this be the key to re-awaking a sleeping Nation?

But until they get registered the path still remains a ‘theory’ and people are sick of theories, that is why we can’t get them to engage.

Once Liberation.scot have registered as a bonafide Liberation movement with the UN, many things on many levels will start happening. The event itself should attract a lot of attention, but a movement itself cannot sit in Parliament…. that’s where Politics and Politicians have to come back into the fore!

So political parties had better make sure they are standing on the right side of history and by that I mean standing on Sovereignty….Peoples Sovereignty! because that is what we the People will demand, a mandate built on Direct Democracy.

Don’t we all just love a bit of gossip especially if it’s about a person we don’t like? There’s something built within all of us that responds to the words, ‘did you hear about’.

It’s in our DNA and it’s usually in our DNA to pass it on, sometimes even to embellish it, because we want to believe it.

We love negatives!

We need to train our ears to listen to the words coming out of our mouths!!

We forget that we can destroy a persons life and reputation in minutes founded on what are most likely unthruths….lies!

Gossip is -those unconfirmed pieces of information — and pass them along, spreading what may be “fake news.”

“Fake news”!!

Scotland fell in love with the ‘fake news’ about its own history and Westminster just kept on feeding it for over 300 years!

Gossip, fake news is easier to handle, it has become the norm. Most MPs in London know nothing about Scottish History, they just believe the lie, the gossip!

Facts are much harder to deal with, an honourable person would have to act, not many with that kind of calibre in Westminster and none it or so it would seem amongst Scottish MPs of any colour!

It takes courage and strength to swim against the tide!

Fake news, gossip says we are in an equal Union, facts say we are not in a Union let alone an equal one!

Fake news says all Scottish Seabeds belong to King Charles, facts say we never ceded our territorial waters and Charles in not our King!

I could go on, but you get my drift!

Today’s fake news/gossip goes like this, Freeports and SEZs are God’s answer to all our economic woes, facts tell a very different story.

There will not be 1000s new jobs, there will be a few low-wage jobs with no normal employment security.

Tax incentives to corporations mean less tax for Local Authorities…so don’t expect your pot-holes to be filled in soon!

Crime in your area will rise with the possibility of drug and people smuggling as companies will be responsible for their own security on what comes in….never mind what goes out of these enormous Freeports.

Fences are already going up where once we could roam and it won’t be too long before the fencing goes up on the shores of Loch Lomond.

Gossip =Fake news=Lies!

To be able to make an informed decision about anything we have to be able to distinguish between fake news and truth and remember fake news will always be more palatable than the the truth.

90% of what we read in the MSM is fake, headlines worded to lure us in!

There are times when our minds are one of our greatest enemies. We overthink things and subconsciously look for pitfalls.…and you know what they say ‘seek and ye shall find’😆

Upon finding some we retreat in fear. No one wins a hurdle race without jumping the hurdles! Some just look at the hurdles do an about-turn and say I (we ) can’t do this, others might start the race but fall at the first hurdle.

We have to learn to be Bruces!

Seek our battlegrounds, Salvo is doing just that.

International treaties or any treaty for that matter cannot just be swept under the carpet and forgotten about, they are living documents and countries don’t take it kindly when they are broken.

In our case, they will act as evidence in an International Court showing them not only to have been repeatedly broken but also the evil intent behind them.

So, where does fear come in?

I don’t think it’s the past we fear, but the present. We look at where our country is today under the present ruling Parties and we are unable to visualize anything different, and you are right because what is required is not just Independence but a new system of governance!

It’s called Direct Democracy, there will never be a ‘new Scotland’ without it.

Once we understand that hope replaces the fear!

There is another way and Salvo/Liberation are making this happen now!

Independence is not dead and the number of new groups popping up proves that. But I have my reservations about ‘groups’ and what they are doing. If they were talking to each other and each one specifically dealing with one aspect of what our new country might look like that would be great, but if they are just mirroring the work already done by another group what is their purpose?

And, and this is important whose ‘work’ are they using? Coming from a place of knowing what it’s like to have all their own work half-inched by others, it’s not a good look and shows (a) a lack of respect for the original author(s) and (b) a lack of ability to bring something new to the table.

Joined-up thinking is about about looking at complex situations and using collective ideas to resolve them or build upon them, not repeating the work of others.

We need people around the same table and if this is what is meant by a National or Peoples Convention, then lets talk!
