Who gets to speak?

Those on SM will no doubt have noticed how ‘free speech’ is being suppressed even on the major platforms.

But ‘silencing’ is not new, we’ve seen it in our media for years. Every time you switch on the TV and watch the news, you are only watching what the powerful want you to see or hear!

The reason given is incitement.

To some degree that is correct because there are always people who want any excuse to react and more who want to join in because they are angry.

Governments always tend to lay the blame on the people, they never ask themselves why it’s happening.

The result is suppression.

Stop the speaking and the protests and all will be well…..they hope!

They forget, human beings do not react like caged animals; we have brains, and when our brains tell us something is very wrong, we are going to react. Add anger to the equation and a problem is created for the government and the police. Their answer, more suppression! This is the spiral we are now on.

How do we get out of this spiral? How is the ordinary person able to get their voice heard again?

Social platforms do still give us some freedom, even though they are policed.

Marches are becoming managed, but by whom?

Could enough voices reverse that?

If we want to speak, we are going to have to think outside the box again.

I know I go on about the Claim of Right, but it really does give us some rights. I have been amused lately at how many English people are also starting to quote their rights from the Magna Carta!

These ancient documents still hold power! It will be interesting to see what happens when people start to raise these rights in a Court of Law.
