The chains that bind us!

When you think of the word Freedom, what do you see with your mind’s eye?

Freedom generally refers to the power or right to act, speak, or think without hindrance or restraint. [Wikipedia]

We will all have a different list because our circumstances are different.

Sadly these are being eroded, big time!

The excuse behind some of the new restrictions is ‘child safety’! Yet they resist looking into grooming.

Digital Identity is coming whether we like it or not.

On Monday I spent nearly all day in the Acute Assessment Unit at the QEUH, it was an interesting experience to say the least. Every member of staff had a NHS smartphone and everything was being run on those phones, like the sharing of test results, scans, etc, very efficiently. But earlier in the day the system was down and the doctor said she hadn’t been able to access my records!!

Systems crash, and this government wants to run our lives via digital platforms.

Then there was the lady sitting next to me, she did have a smart phone, but an old one and needed help to use it. Not sure what she wanted but had to ask a stranger to help her. Is this wise, is this safe?

The government is creating many problems for many people under the guise of protection, when it’s really about control.

Free speech is going, freedom to protest is going, freedom of the press has gone, what’s next on their list?

And on the subject of Freedom of Speach, what is happening within AUOB? These marches were not only about feet on the ground, they were renowned for the speakers from various groups and parties……Now none allowed!?!

The reason given is, ‘people don’t contribute financially.’ Well, there’s a simple remedy for that, ask them to!! Also do the musicians contribute? No reply was given!! Something tells me there is more to this than meets the eye. Are they/we being silenced?

Was this another ‘slow creep’ we didn’t notice and should have, once SNP leaders stopped supporting it?

How soon, will your ‘freedom’ list disappear?

Whilst you have a power-down system instead of a power-up, like Direct Democracy , these things will only get worse.

We must speak out whilst we can!

Just like you Joan I spent Monday & Tuesday at the hospital only mine was at RAH Paisley for a AF episode , I have one of these steam driven phones because I refuse to pay inordinate sums of money for the latest gadget that becomes antique within a few months

I love technology when it educates and informs but unfortunately just when you have mastered one thing it becomes no longer relevant or a new update messes up your settings

I have been in different hospitals over times but they all have one thing in common , atrocious wi fi , the nurses, doctors , ancillary staff are really great , the waiting times are horrendous but irrespective of who is in power the tinkering around the edges just makes it worse

Anyone voting Reform with their pledge to privatise the SNHS needs to give their head a wobble , they only have to look at private health care , especially in the US to realise that ONLY RICH people get the best care , and then they become NON RICH people after they get their bills

Digital security , cctv could ALL be great things, but unfortunately do we TRUST any government to PROTECT our security , privacy or personal information , we have political morons eagerly and desperately giving our health data to foreign companies affiliated with war mongering regimes and every social media company trades our personal information for money
