Scotland does indeed stand at a fork in the road and we need to differentiate between the two roads.

When I say ‘Historical’ what I mean by that is, what we have been taught in our history books and conditioned to believe!

99% of history books used in schools and colleges were written by English authors with an English perspective. Its my understanding that only ‘modern’ history is taught in schools now, hence the fact that my grandchildren who were educated in Carlisle know nothing about Hadrians Wall!

As a result, only those who have saught the truth know about Scottish history….and politics are drawn from history!

Most people believe what they read that’s why certain people buy certain newspapers….they read what they want to hear and the thought of doing otherwise terrifies them!

So they will continue along the historical road!

Then there is what I call the ‘Legal’ road, where legal documentation proves the history books to be wrong!

Eg. There was no Union of the Crowns, there was no Union of Partliaments and there is no Scottish King, and it is those three legal truths alone that terrify the Historians and the Politicians of today.

There are those who say Salvo are just digging up trouble, what do they mean by that?

Because if they mean digging up the truth and using that truth for change, then I say bring it on!

Forensic Criminologists dig up bones to seek evidence of a crime, Salvo digs up documents to seek historical Political crimes…. and they have found them in abundance!

But lets be honest, does this not apply to every major Party?

Who voted for Freeports at the last GE, who had even heard of them?

Who even knows about them now……not many! … yet our land is being devoured by them.

If you live up in the Cromarty and Caithness area for instance, you may be surprised to know that the farm you think you own….you don’t! The house you think you own….you don’t!

You have Micheal Gove to thank for that because he decided that all lands within the Freeports areas could be bought through compulsory purchase if any of the colgomerates need your land for expansion or to build new houses for their ‘new’?? workers or roads!

When did Scotland vote for that, when did we give our SNP MSPs permission to do that…..we did not!

What we need at the very least is for Parties to publish their Manifestos showing all their Policies for the future and let us vote accordingly. That would be an attempt at Democracy for starters!

But only Direct Democracy will bring Power back to the People!

Kate Forbes reiterates that Scotland is open for business but remains silent about what kind of business and still refuses to put her case forward for Freeports & SEZs. We are not asking for sensitive information between businesses, but we do want to know about tax relief and who will fill the gap! Also Employment Law and conditions.

Will things change with the outgoing of Micheal Gove? Will Labour change the conditions in favour of the areas earmarked for Privitisation….I doubt it very much.

Profits before People will no doubt remain the goal of this new Red/BlueParty.

There remains one hope and with it a Party who moves forward with them.

The sirens are wailing but no one is heeding.

The above article is really about the end of the process, the goal which always was about the privitisation of Local Authorities and the end of Local Democracy.

Towns, cities and huge acres of land owned and run by foreign private consortiums.

In Scotland we are at the beginning of the process thanks to Kate Forbes who just doesn’t seem to get it!….or does she?

There have been no open discussions in Holyrood about these Freeports etc so we have to assume all the Parties are in favour, so that leaves the new Parties and the people to take the high ground.

There can or shouldn’t be any partisan politics on this issue especially when Parties have policies in place against Freeports.

So my question is, why are some deliberately refusing to join and openly support the SalvoFreeport campaign? Which is by the way non-partisan.

It is hypocritical to lead ones members into thinking you’re against something when in reality you are not.

This matter is too important to Scotland to be playing games.

It never occurred to me that there are those out there who have nothing better to do than hover over their member’s accounts to make sure they don’t tick the wrong box!

If they dare to agree with anything anyone says outwith their own Party….out comes the big black marker. Regardless of how sensible the comment may have been.

Such is the insecurity of some Political leaders these days, and these are the very same leaders who have wanted cross-party cooperation in the past.

To have to live with that kind of insecurity must cause immense strain and shattered nerves. I personally can’t think of any job on earth that would be worth that kind of hell.…but then I have never sought power for power’s sake.

There is a huge difference between seeking Leadership and seeking Power, sadly our Political leaders of today think they are one and the same.

Leadership is about bringing your people with you, Power is about control and when you need to spy on your own members to retain that kind of Power you show your weakness.

Scotland needs a restart, one with a level playing field.

A place where everyone counts and has an equal chance of succeeding in life.

Leaflets are dropping through our letter boxes like snow off a dyke and an Election hasn’t even been called yet.

If the purpose is to bore us to death, then it’s probably working!!

The interesting news or policies have been coming from elsewhere, like Alistair Jacks’s little bombshell yesterday. So confident is he of a Unionist Party taking over Holyrood in 2026 [ I noticed he said Unionist and not Tory!!] that he has asked the Energy Secretary to advance plans for a Nuclear Plant to be built in Scotland. No mention of where though. Well I suppose if you’re going to lose your seat you may as well go out in style with a bold statement.

Then there are those who are more ‘sleekit’ trying to introduce Policies to their Party that appear interesting but may contain a hidden agenda.[Hidden within plain sight means something so obvious that it might be missed at first.]

How about Home Rule for H&I [or parts of] within an Independent Scotland? That would be a novel idea would it not, especially if that part covered the Cromarty Firth!!

Some may call it ingenuity, I call it covering your ass and your assets!

But hey, it’s all just Politics and it’s up to us all to try and wade through the mud and find some clarity.

The mantra in Scotland used to be, ‘we will seek a S30’….now it’s ‘if there’s a majority vote for Independence we will start negotiations’!

I presume that means, negotiations to ask for an S30 as that seems to be the only bullet in their arsenal. But even by some leap of the imagination they actually meant talks leading to Independence….they forget one thing…..it takes at least two to tango!

I think they will end up talking to themselves…nothing new there then😂

Then there are those who are masters at Double Speak! Weasel words, deliberately designed to confuse us.

Freeports is a perfect example.

There hasn’t been one Freeport yet that has delivered on promises. Most jobs will be temporary because of the nature of the free tenure of the land. [No jobs for life!!]….also low paid…so don’t expect pay rises either, not even up to Scottish Living Wage.

The Scottish Government are only now learning what it’s like trying to negotiate conditions with these big companies….and it’s not going well.

Councils are also waiting for answers from Holyrood, that’s not going well either!

So, don’t worry if you feel, confused…..we all do!

After another insult from Sunak our MPS should be walking out of Parliament and staying out.

The new game in town should be ABSTENTION!

Sunak says we are ‘extremists’ so let’s be extreme!

Let’s see how far Westminster gets with no engine! With no engine he won’t need the engine oil😂…..or water!

It really is time to believe in ourselves and the Power we have in our hands.

Remind our MPs and MSPs who gave them their jobs and who can remove them.
