All eyes have been looking West today in disbelief but perhaps there is a lesson for us here.
….and that is never take people for granted and never turn on your own!

We react to the circumstances around us, not to Political theatre. Politicians have a blind spot when it comes to reading the room.
You cannot say ‘Country first’ then spend billions on someone else’s war or cut your own education budget down to the bare bone whilst sending millions to another country for their education!
Yes, Foreign Aid is important but how much is the question, not to mention whose pocket it ends up in…..we’re not very good at checking these things out….we just assume!
Fiscal objectives are very important especially when a good number of your own people are cold and hungry.
Very soon our MSPs and Councils will be setting the budgets which will have an impact on all our lives, so we have every right to ‘follow the money’!
….it is after all our money!
The Scottish Government has and is very economical with the truth when it comes to Freeport’s and SEZs. Billions of Tax Payers money is being sunk into these black holes with little or no return. Money that should be used to provide local services and keep tax rises down in other words keep our cost of living down.
….and yes, we did have a choice Ms Forbes, and you made yours!
Not sure her geography is very good either, she does not live on the ‘fringe of a Freeport’!
Both Westminster and Holyrood have lost their credibility which leaves us with only one option in Scotland in 2026…

A plebiscite Election with or without the SNPs involvement by using the List and not putting a foot in Holyrood.
There is also a difference between Parliamentary Sovereignty and People’s Sovereignty, we have the former now……and it’s not working. These things however are for others to work out as we take this Country forward and take it forward we must because our Politicians won’t.
But one thing I do know getting ourselves entangled in Corporate Governance will not end well for anybody except the Shareholders.

Following the unbelievable and unfathomable choice, made by the American people, to ‘trust’ Trump, with their lives/welfare/future/etc, this morning’s news brought with it, a strong feeling of trepidation!
He was even ‘setting up a repeat of last time’ with his “.. they tell me that there’s a lot of voter fraud …”!
Following the dismal news this person had won, he had the bloody cheek to say “..we now have to bring our country together ..”!
A two-faced, dangerous nutter!
HE’s the one who caused chaos last time and make no mistake, HE would have done the same again, had the result gone against him!
It left me feeling extremely concerned about how our own (formerly trusted) SUPPOSED Scottish Independence Party, continues to let us down, with their sleekitness, lack of transparency and downright lies!
I will NEVER forgive Freeports Forbes and the rest involved with their betrayal of WE, who put them in power.
Have to admit that I’ve called them, more than a few names today!
I usually ‘look for the positive’ but today, Joan, it was only your article that lifted my spirits.
Always uplifting, always encouraging and always reminding us that YES, we do have a way out of this NON-EXISTENT ‘union’.
NEVER has or can, ENGLISH SHACKLES, CLAWS AND JACKBOOT, equate to ‘a partnership’!

Deeply worried about my country. Freeports and SEZs just the latest move in us being made unwelcome guests in our own country by usurpers and thieves. What do you make of Kate Forbes? On the face of it she appears to have no defence yet McAlpine and Salmond two genuine men for Scotland seemto have had time for her. What do you think is going on here?

When she was believed to be ‘FOR’ Independence.
You don’t suddenly turn from a supposed strong-held belief in the Restoration of Scotland’s Sovereignty/Independence/Democracy, to signing away lands/seas/waterways/etc of Scotland.
Done, without consulting with WE Sovereign Scots, who would NEVER have granted permission for any of it.
