What do people see?

It is said we all have two sides to us, that may be true but it doesn’t have to mean one is good and the other bad…..even in politicians!

In my lifetime, which is quite long, I can count on one hand the number of people in my life who were truly ‘bad people’.

When someone enters politics or even a leader of a group intending to influence politicians, we make judgements about their character and characteristics. There is nowhere to hide! Some are even goaded into letting their mask slip, which often happens. But there are some who truly are the real deal. What you see is what you get!

That is why integrity is so important. Am I biased when I say both the leaders of the ISP and Salvo are such people?

Integrity in public life has always been my threshold for supporting people, if they fail that upper bar, then it’s a no from me.

Yes, I’m fussy!

That doesn’t mean people have to be ‘perfect’…..no one is but it does mean their hearts are in the right place and in this case that place is Scotland and its people.

To show who we really are is in my opinion one of the greatest gifts we have to give. Our personalities will sell the message we have to offer, the message of a Sovereign People ruling a Sovereign Nation once again.

I love your blog Joan. It may be short but it packs a punch. Your words today resonated with me. There is a paucity of integrity in Scottish politics today. The two people you mention shine like beacons in the murk, examples others would do well to follow.
