If ever we needed an example of how the words we use reveal our true beliefs, we got it last night.

During the Partgate Debate, Pete Wishart uttered these words. “ This hallowed institution…..that we revere so much “ This from an SNP MP!!!

For a bit of fun let me dissect the meaning of two of those words because this is really what Pete the Unionist SNP MP believes and it is important.

“Hallowed”. Pete really believes that Parliament as in Westminster is Holy Ground!……this explains a lot!

“Revere”. Pete has the deepest respect and admiration for all Parliament does!…….really? Even when it shafts Scotland on a daily basis?

These words spoken last night show in one sentence why the SNP whether in Westminster or Holyrood will never accept the existing Constitution within The Claim of Right, and they are not the only Indy Party to do so!

But then the existing Constitution would demand things like honesty and integrity, two things absent from modern Politics today! In fact, it would demand a complete metamorphosis from modern-day thinking, and that would never do! The cry would be, ‘But what about our huge wages and pensions’!

A light shone last night in Westminster and it showed the hypocrisy of our elected representatives…….cosy bums on cosy seats!

We can change that!

By making the right choices and bringing others on to the right side of the bus!

We have all at one time or another bought into the lie that we are British not Scottish because that’s what we were taught from school onwards. Even when I first voted for Independence in the 70s I still thought of myself as ‘British’ or should I say Scottish/ British. Never more was this instilled within us than the history of the two World Wars. It was the British Army…….we we’re all Britain.

Please don’t get me wrong, we did go to war as a United Britain, I am talking here about the psychological message behind the word ‘British’ and how it has been used to eradicate the Scottish culture and history. There are even those in Westminster today who declare Scotland as a country no longer exists.

I was not born a Scot although I do have Scottish genes, hailing from the Marshalls from the Crief area, but I was brought up and educated in Scotland and have lived here most of my life so I see myself as Scottish by choice!

It has been said that ‘the day we stop learning is the day we start dying’. When we start to learn the truth about our history and how we were hoodwinked into believing this British lie something kicks in deep within us, it’s called hope!

If I feel that, those of you who are full-blooded Scots must surely be ecstatic.

When I first learned and am continuing to learn from Salvo the truth, I get angry and have tried to channel that anger in a positive way by sharing the truth with others, we have a culture and a history of our own. We have a constitution of our own, we are not British!

Scotland is on a new journey!

………and we are the travellers on that road, we are the walkers and the talkers. Our role in Salvo and Liberation .scot has never been more important. We Scots can talk a good game, we know how to change the narrative!

Well if yesterday’s Bi-election showed anything it showed how people are sick to death of Politics and Politicians of every kind.

All parties, except the one that won, are desperate to find some positives and exploit them, not sure even the smallest of percentage points gained means anything with such a low turnout.

So is this an opportunity to tell people there is something different out there, something that isn’t about Politics and Politicians? I say that because am not quite sure which one of the two is putting people off.😅😅

Yesterday I wrote about those of us who have signed on the dotted line writing ourselves into the history books, you know there is something quite satisfying knowing that reality. Even though all these signatures will one day end up in a volt in some dark dungeon in Europe😂 The point is they will be there for future generations to dig up!!

Maybe we just need to reframe our message a wee bit, make people feel good about the part they could play in Scotlands future. At the moment they ask themselves ‘What’s the point in voting, nothing changes’ ……and they are right!

When people feel they are making or could make a difference then they will act, our job is to show them how easy it is to make that happen. Enthusiasm is infectious and it is enthusiasm that should be pouring out of us. A good salesperson is one who shows beyond doubt their belief in what they are offering.

Our end product is a free Scotland, delivered by the representatives we choose. But the map to get there is produced by Salvo.

You may not realise it but everyone who signs up to Liberation. scot is writing themselves into Scotland’s history. If your name is on the list which will be sent to the UN you will be immortalised for ever as one who fought and won back Scotland!

By saying that I am of course assuming that Salvo will have to prove 100.000 did sign it.

The other day Alistair Jack spent the day reporting all of Holyrood’s misdemeanours to a committee in Westminster, he must have felt like a Headmaster reading out a report card, I wonder whose arse he would like to skelp😅

Westminster is so scared of what our Independence minded MSPs say to other countries that they are going to make some new Laws banning them from talking about Independence abroad! Not sure how that will work in a practical way though, once out of the British Consulate they can say anything surely.

This is control out of control!!

Every signature starts with a conversation and how we manage that conversation matters because it is so easy to offend.

Teaching yes…….preaching NO!

When I look at Scottish Politics today I see history repeating itself. We are in danger of being held hostage by ‘ Political Cults’ and the danger with cults is, they do away with critical thinking. It’s our Party or none, all the rest become the ‘evil other’. Tribal instincts kick in!

Cults tend to be led by charismatic leaders and their charisma will see them through all trials and tribulations because the ‘faithful’ will never believe they can do wrong.

Within cults there is a lack of freedom of expression, it’s more than just toeing the party line it’s everything the Leader says is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth…….even when events show it not to be! Such is the devotion to the Leader.

The greatest lack in Politics today is the inability to listen to others, the minute someone disagrees with something that you are saying, their minds and their ears close, the discussion is over, and you become the ‘other evil’! Such is the fragility of a mind that no longer thinks for itself but depends on the thinking of their Leader.

For those of us in Salvo, we have to try to re-educate people and make them realise not everything they have been taught is true. The Claim of Right is the holy grail for Scotland, but it’s not just the content its the ethos, the two cannot be separated no matter who the Leader is!

As has been said The Claim of Right is our get-out clause but it’s much more than that, it shows us a system, a way of life that actually worked. It shows us more about progressive politics than the rotten system we have today and we have The Kirk to thank for that, they had the foresight to realise those down South just might not stick to the rules!

Our freedom is in our hands, not in the hands of Westminster, just let that sink in! Get those signatures, let’s get to the Hague!

The standing down of MPs and the arrest of an MSP has made heady reading this weekend, but will it shape future politics? I doubt it.

Today’s news in the papers makes tomorrow’s fish & chip wrappings. A new week will bring new stories, new drama but life will go on much the same as before. No lessons learnt!

We need change and we need it now, a new political system for Scotland, more open, more honest and more fair. Those of us in Salvo believe the old system was just that, where people had the say, and had control not Politicians or Representatives as they were called.

Local Representatives who knew their local needs, our modern system calls them Politicians who, yes are voted in locally but soon forget their place and the promises they made. Party takes over from the people! Well I’ve had enough, I am resolved to the fact that I may not at my age see Independence but I believe I will see Salvo going to the Hague and that’s enough for me.

We are a movement and movements can move mountains, history has proved that and will do so again, here in Scotland.

So, come on folks let’s get this thing rolling and sign on the dotted line if like me you’ve had enough.

There are whispers within the walls of Westminster that perhaps there should be a Scotland Act 11. Presumably, the present one isn’t up to the job!

So, if this be true what would a new Act include or more to the point exclude? Probably the word ‘Referendum’, considering we are hearing words like, ‘there will be no more referendums’ and ‘Scotland should no longer exist as a Country’.

But as I have said, so far these are only rumours, and after all we do have “ King Charles and Queen Camila” coming to Scotland next month to give us 😅😅😅😅 the chance to celebrate their Coronation. More pomposity!!

Whilst here they will be presented with The Honours of Scotland, which are of course The Scottish Crown Jewels. These consist of The Crown, The Sceptre and The Sword of State.

Presented with a Crown he cannot wear so I’m not quite sure what the point is!! But you know there are an awful lot of people who do not know why he can’t wear it! Even Wikipedia says in 1603 the Crowns were United……should we tell them?😅

It is interesting that in 2022, when Charles, the then Prince of Wales addressed the Commonwealth leaders he told them the Monarchy would not stand in the way of them seeking Independence, no mention of Scotland though who has also been colonised and who He has to defer to via The Claim of Right, albeit their own definition of it, which in turn means we have to defer to Him☹️

Humza of course thinks all this pomp and ceremony will be great for Scotland, he can wear his fancy jacket again! Probably our very own Privy Councillors will also be there bowing and scraping!

So who will line the streets of Edinburgh…..not me and I suspect not many of you!

Most of the crowd will be tourists with a number of Unionists thrown in for good measure, the Beeb of course will have their own commentary where probably everyone in Scotland will be flag waving!!!

Maybe Salvo members should go and wave the Salvo flag just to remind Charles that change is coming!

……and the cost? I won’t even go there, but you will be picking up this tab!

Whilst there are many on the starting line for Independence, many are still prepared to take the long road, even the never-ending road, but we in Salvo have an advantage. One that will catapult Scotland onto the world stage!

There is often a difference between truth and facts but Salvo has both. Westminster cannot say the Claim of Right is defunct when it has been successfully used to stop legislation in recent years. Willie McRae used it to stop Nulclear Waste being dumped in the Galloway Hills, he was prepared to use it again against Thatcher had he not met an untimely death, which I won’t go into!

At the moment though we have a smaller race to run, we need more runners for the bigger race, the Liberation.scot race! We need 100,000 signatures to get us to the line which will allow Salvo to catapult us into The Hague.

Sometimes in life, you just have to be radical because the norm won’t cut it. Sec30 was inserted into the Scotland Act to enable Scotland to have a Referendum but the caveat added was, we have to ask for it and it can only be given at Westminsters pleasure. Some in Westminster are now going as far as to say they will never agree to say Yes!

So Radical it must be! Salvo will take the fight to them through the European Courts.

Don’t be afraid of being called ‘radical’ it only means you hold strong opinions and are prepared to act upon them!

So, which one are you in the picture, the ones on the starting line or the one in the catapult?

When I was across on the Isle of Bute at the weekend I visited Mount Stewart, I don’t usually do big fancy houses but the history behind it fascinated me, so I did it!!

Tour guides are also not my usual thing but on this occasion, I was more than pleasantly surprised, this lady knew her stuff and knew how to captivate her audience. Her enthusiasm about this house, the house she had worked in since the 1970s was obviuos. Passion poured out of every pore!

It was the same for me at school, if there was passion I listened otherwise not so much!

If we want people to listen to our story we must ooze with passion and enthusiasm or they won’t buy it. Facts on their own can be boring, they have to mean something, and that something must be expressed with excitement.

The more I learn about the Claim of Right the more excited I become because this is something we can use to claim Scotland back. Westminster can not deny these facts, these truths that will be laid bare for all to see, including the European Court. Yes, they will fight and scream saying it’s outdated, no longer relevant, but those arguments will land on deaf ears because a treaty was signed and broken. Throughout the world indigenous people are claiming and winning their rights back and it will be no different in Scotland.

I was sitting the other night with glass in hand looking towards the Kyles of Bute when these words popped up on FB spoken by a well-known presenter whose career has gone belly up due to the lies, or rather “the lie that just got too big”

I began to ponder over that phrase in relation to Scotland and the Claim of Right. To bury something so deep in the hope that it will never be found and then go on as if it never existed is to live a lie, a big lie!

We in Scotland are beginning to realise just how big that lie has become. Scotland’s true history is coming to light and it’s nothing like what we were taught at school, and when something this big happens, change has to come!

There is injustice and there is injustice but this is injustice on a grand scale. Grand theft auto doesn’t even touch the edges!

Forgive me for quoting the Good Book, but there is a verse I often quote and it is this, ‘ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free’. You know, I happen to believe that!

Thanks to Salvo, our truth, our true story is being rewritten and that truth will I believe one day set Scotland free. But here’s the thing, knowledge is only power if we take that power into our own hands and do something about it. Otherwise, it just remains words on a document.

The ‘lie’ is out, the can of worms has been opened and there’s nothing Westminster can do about it as much as they try to. Sara’s work is already being talked about beyond our shores, there is no going back only the process to be worked on and we are part of that process!

Don’t just preach to the converted, tell everyone! It’s in our nature as Scots to tell a good story, and what better story to tell than how Scotlands lands have and are being raped and pillaged on a daily basis and now they are coming for our water. Not to buy it, but to take!
