We are all familiar with the saying ‘He who pays the piper, calls the tune’

Never has it been so true as it is in today’s Political theatre.

There also used to be a rule whereby politicians had to declare an interest in lobbying for a company, now they almost own the company!

One of the first priciples of government is to carry out the wishes of the people and to keep those people safe.

Today Governments are run like a business, and business is about profit. Now that might sound like a good idea, they spout things like efficiency etc, except in this case the profits are not being paid into the treasury to be redistributed, no they end up in the pockets of the company shareholders……how many MPs, even MSPs have bank accounts in the Caymen Islands these days?

How much money is hidden behind the heading ‘Think Tanks’, even they are big business these days!

Hundreds of thousands of people marched through the centre of London last Saturday. You wouldn’t see it on TV but there is no doubt about it, the people are rising and the biggest fear any government has is…..the people!

It is no different in Scotland, for the last 10 years the Scottish Government in particular its ruling party the SNP have done a brilliant job of marching the people to the top of the hill only to be marched down again. Promise after promise but never delivered.

Now a group of people are making noises, using a different strategy and feathers are being ruffled to the point where Westminster would like to cut off all connections to the EU, disengaging from previous treaties.

They would have you believe its all about re-writing Human Rights legislation, fit for a 2024-25 UK. I believe the other reason is to extricate itself from the De-colonization treaty!

Now why would they do that?

Scottish assets should be invested in its People.

Ask yourself why Peel Ports [Peel as in the Isle of Man] are going to charge thousands of small boat owners £100 per year to sail on the Clyde….. your river. Just the latest scheme to squeeze every last penny out of us….. and there are many more!

Believe me, your local Council is not your friend!

‘Time and tide wait for no man’ therefore we can not sit back and think 2026 is a long way off……it isn’t and there is some housekeeping to do!!

The course of Scotlands’ future is not being set by this budget, it was set hundreds of years ago, with the gears ramped up when oil was discovered!

Devolution was just an attempt to keep the natives happy and it worked for a while. Since then the promises have been scaled back aided and abetted by our devolusionist government in Holyrood. There is something sickening about seeing our MSPs fawning over the likes of Reeves and Starmer, they don’t even pretend anymore.

The only time you hear our government object to anything is when their own legislation doesn’t get the Royal Stamp of approval.

Good or bad actors…..you decide!

So, will we just throw our arms in the air and say, ‘that’s it were done’?( I was going to use another word but refrained😂) or will we use the power we have to set a different course?

Is it not time to turn to our MSPs and say this…..

One of our final Salvos as a People will be fired at the 2026 Holyrood Election, that is when we change things. But there is much work to do before that. There is no magic button to press, there is the not-so-little matter of persuading people who have been brainwashed into thinking that a Referendum is the only way to accept something different.

This will not be easy, because the first question they will ask is….well why are our Independence MSPs not doing this?……why indeed?

The Power we hold in our hands in 2026, is our vote! This time we can make a difference, putting Scotland back into the hands of its People!

They will not give us our Sovereignty back, therefore we must take it back!

Don’t fear change…..fear not changing!

The most important thing to remember about the change that Salvo/Liberation is suggesting is, this new kind of government they talk about is not like for like!

You will not be getting your ineffective MSPs back…..you will choose and choose again if necessary who and what you want. It is called Direct Democracy!

In the immediate aftermath of the 2026 Election, as there has been in other countries there will probably be some kind of interim governing body that will oversee a proper election, and then its back to normal politicking.

All this however is above my pay grade, I am just relaying what happened in other countries that were successfully decolonised.

The most important thing for now is to recognise the Power each one of us holds in our hands and to use it wisely…..otherwise, continuity will continue with Democracy being replaced with corporate democracy. Putting it simply Scotland will be run or over-run by Shareholders in Foreign lands.

Choose wisely my friends, we won’t get another go at this…..Scotland is being sold from under our feet and there is therefore the possibility that even Elections as we know them could disappear.

Say what you have to say now and say it with conviction!

We need builders, bridge builders! People who are prepared to let go of the past, people who believe in Scotland and the unifying of all around one task……to regain our Sovereign State which will lead to Independence.

What we don’t need is demolition experts whose purpose is to blow up bridges already in the making or built.

We have to wonder what their agenda is.

We have less than 2 years to get this right, we either cling to Party Politics and old grievances and die, or we agree to come together, united for Independence.

The politicking will take care of itself after the 2026 Election.

I have said this before, Politics is a game, that being so sometimes we must play by our rules, not those of others!

It’s time for grown-up thinking, not building power basis.

We all share the same Dream, but independently we cannot achieve it….that is a fact. We need to harness the enthusiasm that AUOB has and if that requires a bit of humility, so be it.

Liberation is the only place I know where we can all come together and fight as one, if I am wrong please correct me! They are the only group on the move right now…..and I mean right now!

Voting on their internal constitution ends this weekend, a requirement by EU Law to register as a Peoples Movement. It is my understanding that once this is done things will move pretty quickly. Exactly how and when that acts itself out I don’t know, but I do trust the people doing it.

This is so true, there are some bad actors out there, and some know who they are! We must not allow them to torpedo all the good work done so far just to boost their own egos.

So, we will be told at the appropriate time…..and I must admit, the suspense is killing me😅

The subliminal messages have started already. Polls are appearing for the 2026 Scottish Election.

The first thing to point out is these polls are not independent, they are politically controlled and meant to carry a message.…or not!

This is the latest example and the kind generally used.

The message is, that these are the Parties standing, and so we go to vote with these in mind.

But when we get there we find that the list is very different, but we have gone into the polling station and usually in a hurry, with a fixed mind…..and so it is!

When it comes to smaller online polls, sometimes we see at the bottom of the poll the word ‘other’. The more discerning person will probably put the tick there but in general, it usually gets ignored.

We need to fix this and start playing the political game by their rules. If we want people to vote for a descriptor on a Ballot paper that uses the word Sovereignty then we have to start putting it on every online poll we create.

And we need to start putting these up now and building the vote.

SOVEREIGNTY must become that message just as the word Independence once was, and it doesn’t need to be subliminal, as under the radar.

Let’s get it out there for all to see and remember, Sovereignty will lead to Independence!

The political pollsters won’t do this, therefore we have to.

We can not allow the 2026 election just to become an SNP v Labour thing, the priority must be Sovereignty.

Words convey powerful messages and Sovereignty is one of those powerful words.

It says Scotland is Sovereign, it says we the People are Sovereign and the more we say it the more we feel it….and that will be the first Salvo we throw at Westminster!

When Liberation go to the UN, they will be seeking an answer to one question.

“Is Scotland a Colony or an equal Partner in a Union”?

If the answer is a Colony, which seems to be the position of most people, then we immediately ask for the decolonization process to start. If they say we are an equal Partner in a Union….we just say…..bye bye! Its a win win situation!!

It almost seems too easy, the question is easy, the process getting there has been a little harder! There is a process and rules, hence Liberation being set up as the legal arm of Salvo to take this forward.

And the more of us saying yes to Sovereignty in 2026 will move things forward at a quicker pace.

Scotland needs you and needs you now! Make sure the word Sovereignty is on everyone’s lips!

Yeah, I know it’s the Herald but it’s the same picture in every article, even those on SM! Add to this the Ferry fiasco, the costs of the failed Self-Id Bill, the Deposit Scheme, the selling off of our wind farms at a fraction of there worth and now the Freeports….where does it end?

It doesn’t until we get rid of this self-perpetuating government that is the SNP.

If we are still in this Union in 5 years, we will only have ourselves to blame.

There is a way out but if we fail to take it just because ‘our Party’ didn’t think of it…..then hell mend us! We will deserve everything Westminster throws at us…..and it won’t be pretty!

Next year’s Barnett Formula consequentials will be less than they were 10 years ago. This is not because there is less money, it’s because Westminster is choosing to give your money away to entice big foreign businesses to take over your country!

They call it, ‘Goverment at arm’s length’…..I call it, the death of Democracy!

And believe it or not, your Council is involved in this deception, all hatched out in Holyrood, the place where openness and accountability no longer exist.

This may not be Scotland yet…..but it’s coming!

We will get one chance to change this and one only……the 2026 Scottish Elections. All we have to do is unite around one word……Sovereignty!

We all believe Scotland is Sovereign, we all believe the People are Sovereign……so what’s the problem?

The word ‘reparations’ has popped up a lot this week regarding slavery, this got me thinking about the same for Scotland after Independence.

However, I think we might have to take a reality check here. Britain is broke!

I am of course talking about monetary reparations here, not assets.

An England without Scotland paying off its interest will be a hundred times worse off, absolutely skint.

Sometimes they accidentally speak the truth😂

Yes, we can turn the taps off and make our assets work for us, but as for getting any £s back that might be just a bridge too far, nice as it would be!

Reparity justice is important and we will find a way!

They say we have debts even though we are not allowed to borrow, that’s maybe a starting place.

So, the new Chancellor has been rather creative when it comes to her CV. It’s, a bit like me saying because I held quite a large budget when I worked makes me an expert…..it doesn’t!

In any other job she would be fired even prosecuted…..but this is Politics where general rules don’t apply.

No wonder they favour deregulation in this new world order, along with powers to silence people!

We have entered an era where crime pays but speak against genocide at your peril.

We must take our land back, our values back and our parliament back and by that, I do not mean the Westminster estate that is Holyrood.

A new start means just that, not like-for-like! When the Sovereignty vote wins we cannot put one foot inside Holyrood, to do that would be to accept Westminster authority.

New does mean new and new will mean many changes. We have friends throughout the world who will help when Westminster plays hardball and makes wild threats.

We hold all the Aces don’t forget that.

We have all the knowledge we need, we just have to apply it.

The work of Liberation is to apply the knowledge we have learned about our past, other organizations are dealing with the nuts and bolts of running the country going forward.

Regaining our Sovereign rights will lead to Independence and Sovereignty must be what we all vote for first.

Join those who intend to do just that irrespective of Party Politics.

Patience.

Rome was not built in a day, and neither will a new Scotland be.

First, the world must see and recognize that this country of ours has been gravely wronged.

That will happen when we get to the ICJ, the wheels of justice turn slowly, but they do turn! The first step is within touching distance so we must not lose patience.

Liberation has accomplished more in 2 years than the Scottish Government has done in the last 10.

Persistence.

It would be so easy to throw in the towel and remain in our ‘comfy place’! The problem is that the comfy place is getting less comfortable by the day!

Next week we will experience the most austere budget seen in years. It will feel like a death by a thousand cuts as we are made to pay for the fiscal madness of others, not to mention filling the pockets of the rich.

There are no shortcuts to success, some call it stubbornness, but I call it determination.

As someone once said…..

“The difficult, we do right away. The impossible takes a little longer.”

There will always be difficulties ahead of us. Independence will not be the silver bullet that cures all. But at least the difficulties will be ours, and we will have the power to deal with them in a way we see fit.

Positivity.

We have come too far on our journey to the EU to let the negativity around us cause us to stop and stumble. We all have bad days.

We have to recognise that some want us to fail and they often know the buttons to press.

Balance is achieved by keeping up the momentum. Attacks come because we are on the right road, a road others fear…..see them as a positive.

Westminster is working hard to erase everything Scottish but they underestimate us because they cannot erase our dream and our determination to make it happen.

We are a People on a mission, they may have won the Scottish government over to the extent that our Parliament can lock us out at a whim and they may banish their own flag, but they will never kill the dream and it is the dream they fear the most.

Every independent nation in the world started with someone’s dream. Liberation is taking ours forward.

Politics is a game, a game of Power, whether it is played out in Parliament, in a church or just a home. There will always be someone or some group that constantly fights for control.

However what matters is, how they exercise that control. When it comes to Politics we expect the people we have voted for to use their influence to better our lives and keep us safe.

But once again our expectations have been too high, bad actors have taken over the stage and we are once again just the audience watching the nightmare that is unfolding.

But we are more than just the audience, we are the recipients of every decision these bad actors make.

The Labour Party we all knew is dead and gone, and even the Tory Party we once knew has gone, now one name unites them.….. Libertarians!

The new world order of Privatisation has taken over, where Corporate Power is replacing Democracy.

Very soon every decision that affects our daily lives will be made in a company boardroom not in government as we thought it to be.

And those decisions will be decided by the profit that can be made, not by how lives can be enhanced.

We have a choice in Scotland, we can either remain in the audience or we can take to the stage and become the actors!

Those who will protect the interests of all of us and who will use our resources for the common good, as it was always meant to be.

That goal will only be reached if egos are laid down and the Democracy we say we want starts to come into play NOW!

Bad actors will always be around but I believe Scotland has more good ones than bad ones!

We just have to learn how to recognize them earlier!! It is their actions not their words that will betray them.

We have another problem in Scotland and it’s at the other end of the scale to egos. Too many people think they have nothing to offer, or they are not good enough. Many join political parties!

I believe that by joining a Party or an organization that fact alone shows you have beliefs and opinions and we want to hear them! Your opinion is as important as mine probably even more so!

We have a lot of talent in Scotland, we just need to let it loose….common sense being one of them!

If you are waiting for action before getting involved again, then wait no more. Liberation is on the move, the voting on its constitution will end very soon and the required letters to the EU community will be sent…..thats what I call getting on with the job whilst others just talk about it.

Stage 1 is almost complete, then the master plan will be revealed and many questions answered.

…… and yes the egos will rise with their less than constructive criticisms…..what else would they do…what else would we expect them to do?🤔

Battle fatigue is not a game and it is not funny. PTSD does not just apply to war veterans, so my Doctor once informed me.

I wasn’t going to write anything today because I woke up this morning and just felt so tired. Tired of all the negativity, tired of all the backbiting, tired of seeing friends hurt.

I am sure many who are in this fight for Independence can identify with this poem.

We are all battle-weary and in need of some good news but I think what makes it worse, at least it does for me is to see good people fall because of the way they are treated by others.

When an organization or group starts to lose good people, Leaders need to start asking why and respond.

Have the ‘egos’ landed?

Someone once said, the problem with working with people is, people!

If this dream is ever to come true we cannot replace like for like! The system must change, the policies must change and we must be prepared to change….but I fear I may be asking too much…..please prove me wrong!

Don’t turn the dream into another nightmare such as the one we are living under just now, which is Westminster rule.

There are 650 MPs in Westminster and 99.99% of them have egos and Holyrood doesn’t fair much better.

We must get the right people into the right jobs as we move forward. We have some of these people in place now in so many organizations we just need to see their Leadership skills trickle a little further down the ladder…..and yes Leadership is a skill.
