Demanding change, then not voting for it is like demanding Independence then voting No!
We are either ‘in’ or ‘out’; there is no halfway unless, of course, you are still undecided.
This is the year to change Scotlands story. This is the year when the word
‘Plebiscite’ replaces the word ‘Referendum’…..and if it doesn’t, then we need to make sure that the new MSPs we vote for make it so from now on.

A slight aside here! Whilst Holyrood [the parliament] is part of the establishment, the ground it sits on, is not! Scotland never ceded its land or territorial waters.
Therefore, one of the things that needs to change going forward, alongside the Decolonisation route, is preparing for a new legislative building. We need to be surgical in our separation.

It was a ‘con’ from the beginning. Over the next four months new ‘carrots’ will be offered up, if we fall for them, we will deserve everything we get.
One of the problems we have today is Tunnel vision when it comes to voting.

We have been conditioned to only focus in on the big parties, not what is happening at the grassroots level. We forget that in every revolution this is where it starts……with the people, not politicians.
I understand why people are sick of the kind of politics we have just now, I am. But is the answer just to sit this one out and not vote?
Who wins in that situation?….not Scotland, for sure!
Be the change you want to see, even if that means changing a habit.
A habit is just a habit, we change them all the time….maybe now is the time to look at our voting habits?

Hi Joan.
Great to see you back posting regularly again after the festive break.
For me, this article immediately raises two obvious questions
‘Plebiscite’ replaces the word ‘Referendum’…..and if it doesn’t, then we need to make sure that the new MSPs we vote for make it so from now on.
What is it that this ‘plebiscite election’ is voting ‘on’ or ‘for’, i.e. what is it that you are asking the people to vote FOR?
That is WHAT is it that you are saying that you will DO if you were to achieve your massive turnout and vote and ‘win’ the election?
Therefore, one of the things that needs to change going forward, alongside the Decolonisation route, is preparing for a new legislative building. We need to be surgical in our separation.
You mention a new legislative building. I assume that you mean here literally the ‘bricks and mortar’ of the existing Scottish Parliament building.
What of that then? Are you proposing that it be mothballed? Abandoned? Repurposed.
‘Separation’? Separation of what from what?
I don’t understand.
A quick reply, these are my thoughts only!
1. Plebiscite on Independence only.
2. A massive vote for Yes could help the Liberation case.
3. New legislative building as Kosovo had to. To try and pass laws etc in a Westminster establishment could be interpreted as acknowledging their legal power over us.
4. Mothballed until Independence is gained.
But these matters are in the hands of others. LS will only act as a facilitator to help Salvo / Liberation and others achieve their goal. I believe that to be a Referendum run by Scotland as to what we really want, with International observers.
5. Complete separation means no ties whatsoever to Westminster.
