Don’t let what unites us, divide us!

There is a reason why Unionists are raging about Liberate Scotland and that is, because it is easier to control people when they are divided.

What both amazes and saddens me is, the ‘divide and conquer’ rule is a favourite of many Independentists as well.

We have become masters at shooting ourselves in the foot. Don’t blame Unionists for all the divisions, we are doing a pretty good job of it ourselves.

You cannot shout for a plebiscite-type election on the one hand then refuse to join others in a show of unity. To do so is to say, it’s our way or none! That is not leadership, it is ego.

I must confess, I struggle with understanding the reasons behind all the agro between all the Independent parties. Are they not putting the ‘cart before the horse’?

If the priority is Independence, the what comes after will be sorted out in Holyrood.

The Liberate Scotland model gives us the choices we need to make that happen. We complain about the 2 party model not working in Westminster, yet we have created the same thing up here, SNP or Labour.

The change we need is not about parties being in charge, but rather the Sovereign People of Scotland being in charge. In Europe, it’s called Direct Democracy!

The People not Politicians!

Why do I support Direct Democracy over Parliamentary Democracy? I will answer that with a few questions!

Have our MPs or even MSPs served us well?

Have they kept their promises?

Do they serve ‘the party’ machine before their constituents’ needs?

I could go on and on, but you get my drift!

People matter, and Westminster will soon learn that the ‘sma folk’ will matter even more.

Join them at..

We need to come out of our small corners and meet in the middle of the room!

It’s not about building empires!

2026, is not about building empires, it is about the restoration of Scotlands Sovereignty.

Neither is it about putting an empty crown on someone’s head, although I have a sneaky feeling there are some who would have egos big enough to try!!

In this modern world, I hope we will become a republic with Direct Democracy at its heart. However, there may be other options, so my mind remains open.

We live in a very fluid world just now, therefore we must become more fluid in our relationships with others. Having fixed ideas about some things can become a problem, even a stumbling block. It is important therefore for political parties to keep revisiting their policies.

Being flexible allows us to respond instead of react, and there is a difference!

Liberate Scotland came into being because three groups were flexible enough to respond to the cry for unity. They didn’t sit down and pore over each other’s policies to seek agreement or criticism. They focused on the common goal, that being Independence.

People are seeing that, and they get it, so why don’t other Independent parties?

Focusing becomes so much easier when you only have one thing to focus on.

Why is 2026 so important? Because the Salvo/Liberation initiative is still moving forward, and Scotlands people need to be ready to move the political side of things up a gear when they reach their goal…..and they will.

The jigsaw is coming together and everyone of us has a piece in our hands, it’s called a vote.

There can be no dropping the ball this time around.

When is a profit not a profit?

Now there is an official answer to my question, so I had better say it before someone gets very picky!!

Answer; Gross profit.

Then there’s my answer 😇. In today’s world, a profit is not a profit until it’s big enough to feed the greed of today’s company directors and shareholders.

…….and there lies one of the problems with Freeports.

We can not change the way things are run in Westminster, but we can clean things up in Scotland……if we want to!

But there lies the 100# question……do we want to?

Polls suggest we want change as the YES vote rises, but just how accurate are these “official” polls” and who do they target?

The fiddlers will surely fiddle!!

As a people on the whole, we have become very ‘chilled out’ when it comes to politics. We prefer silence to defiance.

Even Holyrood shows little or no resistance to any of the take-overs from Westminster.

Why are we so laid back when we see our country being ravaged? Do we think what’s happening doesn’t affect us?

Because it does!

When 100% of what Scotland produces goes south and we only get 8% back then that affects everything and everyone. Occasionally they throw us a little extra, as a gift, but they choose where that gift will be spent. Murry makes sure he controls that little pot of money!

Devolution is not freedom to control it is all about the continuance of Westminster control.

But it gets worse……when the powers that be in Westminster decide on some grand plan for England, like a new Nuclear energy plant or another runway for Heathrow, guess who has to contribute…….we do!

And they don’t ask!

Wake up, don’t just say enough is enough, make it happen.

There are a few radicals who are rebelling, rebelling against thee most corrupt government in our history, aided and abetted by Holyrood.

These are to be found in Liberate Scotland.

There are of course other radical voices in Scotland but LS is unique because it’s built on Unity. Three independent groups that came together, worked together and for the 2026 Election have become one.

Their mantra, ‘Independence Nothing less’

Those three words need to be buried in our psyche and spoken, even shouted at every opportunity.

Will you be a rebel for Scotland?

Running in the fast lane…..

We often hear the phrase, ‘its not a sprint, it’s a marathon’. It is one I often think about when it comes to political parties, particularly the smaller ones.

Problems occur, especially financial ones when small parties try to run in the fast lane with the so-called big boys. They try to simulate them in every way, forgetting why they left in the first place!

Yes, money helps but it is not the be-all and end-all of everything. It’s people who make a party tick!

It’s the ‘sma folk’ who will rush out of the woods to get your back.

Liberate Scotland is building an army of ‘sma folk’. They are not interested in the ‘fast lane’ or trying to jump on the ‘gravy train’. They want to run a good, honest race to the end, even if it is a hurdle race, and become influencers.

Don’t decry the volunteer, they are fueled by passion not position.

Their souls are not for sale, and they will fight tooth and nail for Scotlands soul.

Passions are running high and we need to harness that energy. If we are going to fly the Saltire, let’s do it for the right reasons.

Make the Edinburgh AUOB count!

I don’t care who runs these things, lets just get together and make it happen.

It’s time to stop being so possessive of our little corners and focus on the prize.

I am Scotland before I am ISP.

What are you?

Put your hand out….not your fist!

We may not have come to the place of using our physical fists, but there’s still a lot of verbal fisty cuffs going on, on social media!

It is time for Leaders to step up and lead. Some want Unity but only on their terms, they cry democracy but stifle it at every turn.

If we cannot get to the place where country comes before party over the next few months, then we will fail once again in our quest for Independence. Many things are fracturing our society just now, but the cause of independence amongst independence supporters should not be one of them.

Many want Unity, but many are still wary of it, and we will never understand their concerns unless we are prepared to listen to them.

Listening is very often more important than speaking. Understanding where others are coming from can teach us so much.

Learn to listen!

Every would be candidate out there needs to listen, not come out all guns blazing saying ‘this is what I think’.

Liberate Scotland, have listened and having listened they have responded. They get it.

They got what Unity means and did the impossible.

I don’t know what their initial strategy was, but if it was anything remotely like the above, it has worked.

Now, it’s up to us, we fly or we fall.

We have a choice, we either roll up our sleeves or we dig in! Remember a rut is just a shallow grave!

I refuse to be the person who wakes up the day after the election, only to say…….I wish I…….

A change of thought will do it!

We cannot change what we did or didn’t do 14 years ago or even yesterday. History only repeats itself when we fail to learn the lesson.

How many times does Westminster have to slam the door in our faces before we learn that they mean what they say, and say what they mean?

The answer is No……just get it.

However, following comments on X last night, let me say this: The ISP has learned from history. Therefore, they will not stand aside for anyone at this election but will happily work with others to reach the goal.

We must learn to be smarter. For the record, I am not against UDI if that’s what it takes….the caveat for me is the timing. It makes sense to wait and bring the International community along with us. By successfully going the Decolonisation route this would, I believe happen.

We are an island that needs the world for Trade and many other things. Kosovo made a mistake, they have the backing of some countries, but not all. We must learn from their mistakes.

But none of these things can happen until we change our thinking, now!

We can’t wait until the UN makes its ruling, we must be running in tandem with it now.

2026 is more important than you ever imagined. The Independence clock is ticking now, it doesn’t start after the election……there can be no ‘wait and see what happens’!

Wait…..and we fail, there will be no ‘catch-up’ phase.

The game of politics is radical not reactionary.

The creation of Liberate Scotland was a radical move, one that many laughed at, well they are not laughing now. 21 Candidates and counting and everyone, a radical!

If you feel you are a ‘radical’ then this is the place for you. You can lend them your support and vote.

Hidden in plain sight….

Since 2014, Westminster have made sure that we continued to look the wrong way. And Holyrood have been complicit in the deception.

But thanks to Salvo our heads have turned. Turned to a path that was always there. It is clear and it is legal and we owe it to Scotland to walk it.

Nothing is guaranteed in Politics, Westminster will do everything within its power to stop this initiative. But once it crosses a certain point their efforts will die a slow death.

Because the Law is the Law and they signed up to it.

Salvo/Liberation are still doing the groundwork; the case still has many hurdles to jump, but jump them we will. In the meantime, we need to get our act together. Party politics can not be the priority. The we means all of us working together.

Liberate Scotland is not part of the UN campaign but was created to support it and prepare the political groundwork in Holyrood. If politicians won’t do it, then we the People must.

My personal feeling is, that after the October conferences in Scotland, we will see a sea change within some parties. Whether it be splits or takeovers I know not, but things are changing and members are getting restless.

I know that some groups and parties are very territorial and I feel sometimes we are our own worst enemy. By working together we could achieve so much

My plea is that we become less possessive and more progressive.

Every tool in the box..

If we are serious about Independence then everybody and every party must use all the tools in the box, and add if possible.

The one thing we cannot do is give up after trying only one tool or keep using the one that doesn’t fit. You wouldn’t use the same spanner to tighten a Hex bolt as you would a square head bolt!

The Referendum tool does not, and will not work, no matter which ‘screwhead holds Westminster together.

To give up after your preferred tool or way fails, is a dereliction of duty and childish.

Constitutional laws are above my head, so I leave that to the experts. But now and then I come across wee nuggets and I’m left with a question.

This is one…..

……are you not?

We need Scottish politicians who have a real heart for Scotland and some guts, I do not believe career politicians have that heart. But I believe we can find it within the Sovereign People. Listen to Flower of Scotland before a rugby match and you will feel it.

And it is the same kind of people, who can sing those words with heart who have come together to create a new political concept in Scotland.

Liberate Scotland has Scotland at its heart.

……and it’s growing apace.

When people start listening to one another, things start to happen. Because listening shows respect and it shows they care.

Over the next few months LS candidates will be popping up on the streets in various towns around Scotland. This was one in Bathgate yesterday.

Ordinary people with a heart and passion for Scotland are having conversations with Scotlands people. If you see them, join the conversation…..believe me, it’s a different one from the norm!!

Myth and Reality.

Scotland has a ‘Dream’, we constantly imagine living in a free Independent country. We have watched other countries make their dreams come true.

Now it’s our time!

It’s time to turn the Dream into reality.

Remember, Scotlands dream is Westminsters nightmare.

Many laugh and say it can’t be achieved without Westminsters consent, and as we know that will never be given. Some even think that if we ask often enough, they will bow to pressure……now that does take some imagination!!

No more, kicking the ball down the field, no more ‘own goals’. No more expensive trips to the Supreme Court to ask the wrong question!

There is a path, a path that Devolutionists don’t want us to take.

Tough!

Salvo/Liberation have opened up a path and thousands of us are walking it. The groundswell has started, and there’s no going back.

So, how do we turn this route into a vote for Independence?

Well, here’s an idea that has taken off. A group of people who believe that when parties lay down their swords and work together……miracles can happen.

Well done to the three parties who responded to the call for Unity.

This group are not here for comfort, they are here to confront.

To confront the ideology of continued Devolution and put Independence first and last once again.

So important is this to LS, that they have no other policies!

The politicking will come later, with each party involved having its own policies. These can be found on their websites. eg. [isp.scot]

A one-line Maifesto! Not a lot to get your head around then. If Independence is your first priority then LS is the place to put your X.

I’ve said previously that someone somewhere would no doubt add up the YES votes, so it was good to see the rebels within the SNP thinking the same.

It is becoming apparent that there are many within other parties thinking along the same lines, surely then it makes sense to hitch up to LS and make it a serious cohesive movement?

It has to be the People who take the lead, country before party. Your vote is yours, no-one has the right to demand it.

We complain about the 2 party system and how undemocratic they are, yet we remain loyal to our own parties which play the same game.

Politics must change, from governments to parties. The present system, from top to bottom does not serve its people well.

With a clean sheet, we can create our own vision. Some parties have already drawn up their individual visions, but the good thing is….you will have a choice.

Direct Democracy, [my preference] does not impose anything on anyone!

Be there for Scotland….. be there for yourself!

The sinking of the gravy boat!

If Scotland cannot produce politicians who put service before being served, then we are sunk!

2026 must be the year we change the perception of politics, and I know just the place to start.

Gone are the days when politicians come with titles and plums in their mouths.

You wouldn’t ask a doctor to fix your car so why are we expecting millionaires to fix poverty when they are usually the cause of it through ownership of lands and businesses?

Trickle-down wealth does not work, because it never trickles down and was never meant to. It was just a sound bite, like Trump’s MAGA…..the only bank account gaining anything is his!

Like it or not, the class system in this country is still very much alive.

We have an opportunity in Scotland to bring about real equality. It’s time to bring the ‘Sma folk’ back. The grafters not the grifters.

People who know what hard work means, people who have experienced real life, not been fed with a silver spoon.

People who have earned their reputation, not acquired it through position or money.

Liberate Scotland has been created by such people and you can trust them!

They will bring back Trust in politics.

I am not into ‘spin’ so I say how I find, nor do I trust people easily….again, I judge as I find!

The Candidates standing in Liberate Scotland do not seek fame or money but they do seek Independence. And it’s only because there is a lack of movement towards it, that they have stepped up.

Somebody has to…..will it be you?

Will you join Liberate Scotland and help sink the ‘gravy boat’?
