Who is going to save Scotland?

Save it from what you may ask, I am tempted to say…‘from itself’. Because that’s what it feels like at times!

This is what we need to save.

Our assets, or at least what is left of them are still the envy of the world.

Are we going to March through the streets shouting ‘We want Independence and we want it now’ then go home, put our feet up thinking that’s it I’ve done my bit for the year? Or are we going to roll up our sleeves, become part of the movement that is actually moving and get stuck in?

What does ‘belonging’ to something mean? We appear to have a lot of ‘sleepers’ in our organizations and Parties. But sleepers won’t get Independence, they will only hinder it!

You have to be in it to win it!!!

Passion goes a long way when turned into activism. The sleeping giant that was once the AUOB needs to be re-awakened. I read somewhere that the expected turn out on Saturday is about 5 thousand.

Marches still have their place, they show desire and intent.

Since Saturday leaders have shown their intent with one Party in particular responding positively to the call for talks.

Let the talking begin, when adults get together in one room great things can happen.

We all want change but sometimes we perceive change as something different from others. We are tempted to put the cart before the horse here, there can be no change at all unless we initiate the action required for change to happen. Only a Plebiscite Election can do that to act as a kind of Referendum. Given that we have the majority of Parties in favour of such an Election now talking to each other is possibly the most encouraging news so far.

I have always advocated that the Country comes before the Party, so I hope we can agree on a mechanism to make that happen, even if we have to tweak what we already have to accommodate each other.

In the meantime, let’s have some fun…

It’s late……but not too late!

While the Council elections south of the border have come as a shock to many, for us up here, they should be seen as a wake-up call. It’s never too late to get ahead of the game.

Some see it as the writing on the wall for Scotland, but I see it as an opportunity. Nothing is written in stone, change is coming but we don’t need to copy England.

Our change is in our hands and many are joining forces to make that happen…..are you one of them?

Liberate Scotland has a big umbrella, big enough for all to come under but are all big enough to do it?

It takes courage to put Party Politics aside, although to be honest, I think joining others only enhances a party’s status.

Although I wasn’t at the Rally on Saturday I understand from what people have been saying that this is what people want……cooperation.

The word being UNITY!

For a Plebiscite vote to work, we must be seen as one and working as one……I don’t get this ‘I have to look after my Party’ thing, especially when the way the Liberate Scotland campaign is being built allows every Party to do both.

We in Scotland are in a unique position when it comes to setting up an independent country, for a start we have the wealth to do it!!

Yes, there will be bumps in the road, Westminster will ensure that….. but bumps are not roadblocks!!

So let us harness the energy of yesterday to keep moving forward as one.

When the penny drops……

When we come to that moment of understanding, everything changes. Truth can be an eye-opener and sometimes not a very comfortable one.

How we respond to it concerning Scotland’s history and future will say a lot about us as a people. It will certainly answer one question…..has how we have acted so far shown the best or the worst of us?

Before that however we need to look at our present SNP governance because the two are not the same, sadly.

Our present main governing party refuse to even consider the standing of the Claim of Right and continues to accept that Charles is King of Scotland. Therefore in the context of this article, I don’t even consider them as future political runners, although in reality, they probably will be.

So, let us return to the real Yessers, the people who are part of the multiple-choice before us. Some in non-political groups and some in Independence Parties.

How are we behaving, particularly online?

How we are perceived by others, matters! Our words say a lot about us as individuals, and our public behaviour even more.

…..and don’t think they aren’t watching!

We need International support!

If we want to be taken seriously in our quest then we must be seen as serious and mature……mature enough to run a country!!

We have many talented leaders in Scotland who know their stuff but all too often their voices are drowned out by all the dross. And it’s the dross the media will pick up on.

We know the MSM are anti-Scotland but we don’t need to hand them everything on a plate!! They love a story and will make one up out of nothing.

Next week is the SSRG Conference, these folks have been doing some serious work on our behalf, all the speakers need to be heard and their messages spread far and wide. This is the real news…..and that is what we should concentrate on….not gossip!

Liberation Scotland are serious in their intentions……are we?

If so join them, and step under the umbrella!
