That gap…..?

Before I discuss this, please understand that I do not write on behalf of anyone, but as the graphic above was created by me maybe I should explain what I mean when I use the word ‘gap’!

I believe we have come to a place in Scottish Politics where many feel they have become disenfranchised when it comes to who or even what they can vote for.

Many publicly admit they have no political home.

Thousands upon thousands voted for the only Party they thought would bring Independence. Now the word Independence is always preceded by words like, could or maybe. The plan has disappeared and the goalposts for the ‘could or maybe’ have shifted.

Where has that left those thousands yearning for Independence? Remember many only voted for the SNP on their promise of Independence, that was their only priority. And those, who were also interested in the political stuff have been rightly scunnered by the direction the government has tried to take us.

Hence the ‘political gap’ and who fills it.

When it was first mooted that those under the Liberation umbrella should stand in some Constituencies my initial reaction was, well it will be a good PR exercise but that’s all! But now I find myself thinking the impossible…..I’m thinking about all those thousands who could once again get a chance to vote for their dream. Many appear to be concentrating only on the List. Aim high and you land somewhere in the middle, aim low and hit the ground! We need to aim for both with equal intensity.

A good campaign aimed at the disenchanted, like all the YES groups that are being ignored by the SNP could reap great rewards.

Liberate Scotland can reignite the dream because Liberate Scotland’s route has more credibility than asking for a second Referendum ever had.

If the polls are right, then the YES vote is way above the 50% + 1 required. This being the case, they need a place on the ballot paper to have their say once again, and those campaigning under the Liberate Scotland banner can give them just that.

LS fills the gap!

Let’s think big. The political landscape across the world is changing……why not Scotland?

By targeting the right groups and I do not mean SNP members…..I mean those that have left or lent them their vote in the past and there are thousands, we could see some big changes.

This is why 2026 is so important, we must see control handed over to the people who are serious about Independence and are doing something. No more ‘if we see a big increase in support for the SNP we could’……..its time for a takeover!

Liberate Scotland has one big advantage over the main Independence Party, it is, LS not only has a plan but that plan is in action. The train has arrived at the UN and people are listening. Experts say our case is credible…..did Westminster ever say that?

So let’s aim high and get this over the line.

Problems remain problems until….

For every problem there is a solution……so they say!

Scotland has a problem but many don’t recognize it and the few that do are divided as to how we fix it.

There are no magic bullets or quick fixes. Unity sounds easy but is it?

The notion sounds grand but because we have to work within the confines of Westminster rules via the Electoral Commission, how far down the road of unity can we go?

For example, how far can any party go without sacrificing its identity and uniqueness?

Some things may be possible….but all things?

Can we turn strategy into reality? There are those working on this, greater minds than mine. So we hope solutions can be found for all Parties under the umbrella in this quirky Scottish voting system, but then it was never meant to be easy, was it?

For us to win we need to be consistent and concise!

For me, the message we send out must be easy to understand, because the Additional Member System is not, so let’s not further complicate matters.

Remember failure comes not from trying……but by not trying!

Different groups are trying to put the jigsaw together, but just like life things can happen along the way that may cause them to have to adjust their sails….its called flexibility…..always remain flexible!!

The problem with splinters…..

Splinters are annoying painful wee things and if not dealt with immediately can develop into something more dangerous.

It would appear that there are a number of newish splinter groups within the Scottish Independence movement. Some serve a purpose others to copy and disrupt. Knowing the difference has become an art in itself!!

Lately ‘caution’ has become my middle name🧐, and my default position is to stand back and watch from a distance…..in some cases a great distance!!

The further back you stand the clearer the view!

Politics is a strange game where you tend to make more enemies than friends, so why get involved?

When I look around the political scene today, whether it be budding politicians or groups like Salvo and Liberation, on the whole, I get a glimpse of the kind of country I want to live in.

Note that I said ‘on the whole’! Because nothing is perfect and splinters can be very small. We don’t notice them until they start to irritate us. But once noted they do need dealing with.

Political leadership in Scotland just now does not seem to exist. The ruling Party voted in to get us Independence has dropped the ball.

Mandates have come and gone as have the opportunities because of their ‘one road’ fixation. Every nation that has gained its Independence has had to look beyond its borders to get it. Why won’t ours?

Here is what I don’t get, they [SNP] say if every election shows an overwhelming vote for Independence there could be another Referendum!?! Could someone please explain that to me because so far it hasn’t worked and I think the time for niceties is over! The splinters have become trees blocking every step Scotland tries to make be it the cultural or financial.

“There is more than one way to skin a cat

…. and if the Politicians won’t do it, we must!

There is only one game left in town and that is Liberate Scotland.

Do we not owe it to our children and grandchildren to try it? We have everything to gain and nothing to lose. To give up now would be the greatest act of self-harm ever inflicted on a country.

We can not, must not drop the dream of all those who have gone before us. But the UN can only do so much, it will be up to us to make the necessary changes in Holyrood…..and it can’t just be a ‘cut and paste’ job!

It must be a root and branch change. A place of real vision a place where we will dare to make the impossible.….possible, fuelled by integrity and real Democracy.

Have you got enough of the ‘rebel’ inside of you to make it happen?

Do you realise that by just re-posting or sharing these kinds of posts, you…..yes you will be participating in the biggest revolution Scotland is experiencing?

Re-post…..share every article and poster pertaining to Scottish Independence [Liberation] and let Scotland know something is afoot!

The will of the People….

Don’t you hate it when Politicians use the ‘royal we’?

They make out that ‘we the people’ agree with everything they say or do and our permission has been given.

Did we in Scotland vote for Self ID, did we in Scotland say it was okay to be complicit in the genocide taking place in Gaza?

It is a fact that ‘the will of the people’ is never acknowledged because our political system gives all power to Politicians.

They ask for our Vote and then tell us to shut up…..what do we know? Well, on many fronts I think we know more than them because we live in the real world with the consequences of their decisions.

When it comes to Scotland, Westminster certainly doesn’t want to hear from us and will go to great lengths to silence any new voices….even those going to the UN!! A house that is divided will implode……any house!!!

Democracy in this country does not give power to the people; instead, we give it to the politicians, albeit on the understanding that they will keep their promises. But like the so-called ‘memorandums of understanding’ with Freports, the promises carry no weight.

All we can do is ‘change the locks’! Change the system!

We have the map but do we have the will? I ask that because desire and will are not the same.

Will requires determination.

Determination to deal with the roadblocks, to seek out those who would disrupt and lead us up false roads…..are there any? Do not underestimate Westminster they are the experts remember…..the brokers of deceit!

The most important thing in any campaign is to know who really holds the strings…. it’s not always obvious!…..and you know what they say…..’ if in doubt, do nout’!

So, until the decisions that need to be made are made concerning the 2026 Election and the roads ahead are clearer, I too will slow up a bit….not altogether🫠 to re-set my own compass after a stormy three months.

Some risks are worth taking…..

https://x.com/ktb51aduke1/status/1925896154132201704?s=61

Since the SSRG Conference the Tories seem to have been in a bit of a flap…..especially the Scottish ones. Kerr could hardly contain himself at FMQs last week.

My guess is, that Westminster has also pricked up its ears, but they will respond in their customary very British way…..sneakily!

Because nothing they ever do is what it seems. Behind every deal is an agenda only known to them.

It’s called Smoke and Mirrors!

I don’t believe every Politician starts off to be like that, but somehow a metamorphic change happens as internal politics takes them over. And if your Party is in power, that change happens rapidly!

So you can guarantee that at some level deals will be offered to make sure the status quo remains as is, with regard to our so-called Union.

Even our own MSPs and MPs will kept in line.

Don’t let Scotland be the cost!

We can all be bought, past elections have proved that! The carrots arrive and we fall for them.

Don’t be afraid to be the person who stands up and tells the truth, don’t be afraid to tell people how it could be and show them how!

With Scotland in charge of Scottish resources the possibilities are endless….but we have to take charge first! To do that there is a truth that few wish to confront…..and that is our Politicians are not going to do it for us….. Therefore we the People must!

Every move forward comes with a ‘risk’ but this is one risk we must seize because to stay we will lose everything.

Westminster is not our friend, they are the source of all our problems.

We must do what our MSPs appear reticent to do…..take control of the agenda!

That is exactly what Salvo and Liberation are doing……taking control!!

And the umbrella group helping to take that agenda forward is….

The three parties that are working together with the same vision are…..

ISP.

SOVEREIGNTY.

It’s never a good idea to……

It’s never a good idea to take the easy option when it comes to voting. I have lost count of the number of times I read these words….”I will vote for anyone but them”.

“Anyone”?

Well just look where that has got us, out of the frying pan and into the fire!

If we don’t change our way of thinking about Elections before next year things will only get worse. When are we going to understand that the ‘big’ parties are not the answer? For them, Power comes before the People.

We have done this Labour then Tory then Labour again thing all of my lifetime, and here we are decades later and worse off than we ever were. We must stop repeating our mistakes because the government be it Westminster or Holyrood is not going to stop repeating theirs!

Small is beautiful! Smaller parliaments are easier to manage, and we don’t have to look far within Europe to see some good examples. That is why the idea of Direct Democracy appeals to me.

Change is not about tinkering around the edges of government, it’s about turning it on its head, where power comes from the bottom up!

……and you know what’s amazing, some of the smaller parties get this as do many of the people.

What hasn’t clicked is?…how to make a small Party bigger!

… And it might surprise you how easy the answer is……YOUR VOTE!

You are the growth Scotland needs to grow!

You are the change!

That change of thought could change everything.

Now we know our educators brainwashed us, are we going to just stand back and say, ‘So what’?…..when there’s so much we could accomplish?

Think 2026

Think Small

Think Smart

Think Change

Be the change!!

Bridge over troubled waters..

The nearer one gets to an Election the greater the waters become troubled.

Liberate Scotland has formed a bridge where Partys can unite under one banner, but like every bridge, it has its limits. Too much stress, too many demands and it too could crack.

Trying to forge a route ahead that requires both Unity and autonomy will not be easy, but with a bit of imagination, it could be doable! If not it will not be for the want of trying. Let us not forget we are working within English rules, and they were never intended to help us!

But with the Union myth shattered, momentum is on our side.

Many think Holyrood is also broken, somethings can be glued back together but somehow I don’t think this would work with Holyrood. Why would you try and put something back together when it didn’t work for us in the first place?

After all, Holyrood is just an extension of Westminster, and the one thing we don’t want is the status quo!

So if the new bridge is going to work it must offer something very different on the other side. The grass indeed must be greener and the only way we can insure that is to create a level playing field ourselves.

As we approach the Election, we will be bombarded with all types of 🥕…….But as we know, ‘carrots’ can rot very quickly.

Surely we won’t allow ourselves to be duped again….if we do we deserve everything we get!

Only by being bold and radical can we move forward and take back what has always been ours.

Liberate Scotland and

https://liberation.scot

are both bold and radical……now is the time to become a rebel!

Which box do you fit in to?

When it comes to Scotland and Independence there can be no ‘fence sitters’! We are either part of the problem or part of the solution.

First of all let me make one thing clear, for the purpose of this article I do not see ‘Unionists’ as the problem. For me the problem is the many who shout YES but sit back and do nothing. They think everyone else will get it done.

Well, I am sorry but……it wont happen!

Then there are also those who, because they like the sound of their own voices, go out of the way to have public spats, even with those within their party. They may call it, a ‘healthy debate’ but the fact is others see it as division and will use it against us. They then become part of the problem!

We all need to be a little more self-aware, it’s how others see us that matters.

We are being watched by very critical eyes! Our opponents lay in wait, ready to pounce on every mistake we make.

We are the solution to our problems.

Positivity beats negativity every time. Therefore it is incumbent upon us to speak and behave positively at all times…..would you not agree?

Together we can achieve the impossible. Divided we fail.

Follow the positive path…..follow

Are we being radical enough?

Are we in Scotland being radical enough, or are we just tinkering around the edges?

Do we even understand the meaning of the word?

On being Radical” generally refers to the concept of advocating for or enacting fundamental change in a system or way of thinking. It can be seen as a call to challenge established norms and structures, often from a position that goes beyond incremental adjustments.

When people start referring to us as ‘rebellious people’ or extremists, then we will know we’re getting it right!

We must start demanding instead of asking and our first demands should not be to Westminster but Holyrood! They must use the powers they have to protect Scotland and if because of the Internal Market Bill, they have lost those powers they must make it clear to the whole of Scotland where that now leaves us.

By not speaking out they are complicit in the lie!

We the people must start challenging the established norms’ in Scottish Politics.

Next year we will be asked to make choices, but we cannot do that without all the facts about where we now stand Constitutionaly.

Do we have any Powers left?….if so, what are they?

We need a solution to our problems here in Scotland and the only game left in town is Liberate Scotland.

Proving Scotland is a Colony and going for Decolonisation is the most radical, even revolutionary move Scotland has made in years but we need to convince our Politicians or remove them!….. that would fit the ‘radical’ bill!

Over the next few months, we must show our intent, and let our Politicians see we are serious……we want change and we want it now!

They must join us or step aside!

There was a day not so long ago when our FM marched proudly with AUOB, their absence speaks volumes. They have now become part of the problem…..not the solution!

Now, like every other nation that has gained its Independence, Scotland must rely on its People to lead the way. We are those People, we are all Scotland has left. So roll up your sleeves put on your boots and let’s get this done under the Liberate Scotland banner.

The elephant in the room…..

Warning!!! I am going to be controversial today!!

Everyone is berating Starmer because he did not include or even consider speaking to the Scottish Gov before handing over our Fishing Rights. On that I agree it was deplorable, but…..and there’s always a but, whilst we spend so much energy venting our anger on one issue we fail to see the bigger picture…..Rees Mogg certainly hasn’t!

https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1972168/brexit-jacob-rees-mogg-labour

Scotland voted to stay in the EU, Starmer was and still is a ‘Remainer’ ……and the bigger picture is, Starmer is edging us nearer to the EU again. Should we not be welcoming this in theory at least?

Scotlands assets are Scotlands assets there is no disputing that but at this moment in time we have to work with what we have got, and what we have got is Westminster holding all the cards…..and that will remain so until after the UN makes its ruling regarding Colonisation.

How good Starmer and his negotiators are remains to be seen, we have not got the full picture of our gains yet. But one thing is for sure, after Liberation we can negotiate our own terms with everyone, including England…..that will be fun!

If our government had spent as much energy berating Westminster about Independence as it has today about being kept out of the loop then we might not be where we are today. Once again, they see the problem but not the solution.

Liberate Scotland sees the solution and will take it.
