Who writes history books?
Historians gather their material from a number of sources. Political documents, records, newspapers and diaries etc.
Never underestimate the importance of personal diaries because they give a picture of reality on the ground.….a living history.
So, get writing, because we don’t want our future history to be written by people from another country….as we have just now!
There is power in the written word and those who write very often have an agenda. We need truth, not agendas!
With the advent of the internet and now some very powerful search engines, writing an online diary is an excellent way to preserve our history, but that does not negate the personal touch of pen to paper.

Scotland was robbed of its true history and it is only thanks to Salvo that we are now beginning to understand what happened to our country.
Making sure that doesn’t happen again is up to us!
A country’s social history is just as important as its political history.……one often explains the other!
Politicians love to redact their mistakes…

I guess this little project on a flood plain is one that Fife Council might wish to redact in a few years!
Scotland is standing at a crossroads, as yet our future has not been decided. It is therefore important to record things as they happen so that our grandchildren will know exactly what happened….good or bad!

…..and take a pen to the voting booth next year!……I am far past trusting officials and this Election will have greater significance than any before.

The change has begun….
