For the greater good?

“For the greater good” is one of those sayings governments use when usually doing something we would not like, a bit like “not in the public interest”!

The meaning behind the words is ‘ a general advantage that you can only gain by losing or harming something that is considered less important.’

But who decides what is or who is less important?

Our Politicians of course!

We gave them that right the day we put our X next to their name, such is the way our Democratic system works.

And all the petitions in the world change it!

The country voted Labour in on promises, they have just had a reset….more promises, re-worded promises. Promises for the ‘greater good’! Only the ‘greater’ in this instance is the great conglomerates, and we will have to wait nearly 5yrs before we get any chance to judge them.

Or do we?

It is for the ‘greater good’ of England that Westminster deems Scotland to be less important.

Sometimes fate deals us a different hand and 2026 is one of those times.

The only limits we have are those in our head.

2026 can get us over the line, if and only if we can unite as one and vote in a Pleblicite election for the same thing whatever the strapline may be.

Christmas is nearly upon us, so as I close down this blog until the New Year, let us take time to reflect upon what could be….not what is!

What Scotland could be in our own hands, a Scotland where you could make the big decisions and no one is less important!

On the importance of ‘Vetting’!

I’m maybe a wee bit ahead of myself, but as Parties begin to think seriously about future Candidates and some even crowing about new political conquests I thought it might be a timely subject.

Vetting in any setting is or should be part of normal Risk Assessment management. No more so than in a setting where interaction with the public, including children, would be part of the job.

I am so pleased to be in a Party that takes vetting very seriously. It has surprised me over the years how many wanting to go into public life think it unnecessary, even run from the prospect!

Maybe we should all check Wikipedia more often, for there lies many a secret of past, present and future would be politicians!!

It’s all about the ‘nuts & bolts’, getting the basics right and getting the right people into the right jobs.

We have all seen what happens in Westminster when they get it wrong. In today’s world of Politics, it seems as if personalities take preference over ability and character.

In big business these days candidates have to go through many hoops and sometimes many interviews before being considered. A friend of mine in the States once showed me the psychological profile paper for their firm…..I didn’t even understand the Qs!😂

My point is, that big businesses protect their image and their profits, so how come when it comes to Politics worldwide all this gets ripped up and only money counts through donations?

How have we come to a place in this country where we just accept lies as the norm?

How can we make decisions built on lies?….we can’t….but we do and we do so because many of us can’t face realities.

To do so would require action and for many that is a bridge too far.

Well here is a reality, if we don’t change the system here in Scotland in 2026, Scotland will become a county within the UK and all the levers we still possess will be gone. Westminster will make sure of that!

We rise now or not at all.

And here is another reality, our Nationalist Government have no plans for achieving Independence……if I am wrong….show me.

The first question of any Candidate seeking to serve this country should be ‘What will you do to help secure Scottish Independence’ …..the rest of the vetting interview will show if they are up to it😂

But seriously, we need the right people, people with integrity standing in our corner.

There is such a group of people in the Liberation Movement giving their time and efforts tirelessly and freely for us.

Lets get behind them 100%

Happy now?

You were warned, we knew it was coming and not a word from our SNP Government!

How much more must we endure before the people of this nation get up off their fecking knees and say NO MORE?….and this time I will not apologise for my language because anger doesn’t even cover it.

We have a way out, but instead of grabbing it we argue amongst ourselves as to which Political Party should lead the charge or think they should.

If in Scotland, we believe the People are Sovereign, then act like it.

Get behind Salvo & Liberation and go straight to the Hague, because this Nationalist government of ours doesn’t even have a plan at the moment. Instead, they are ‘co-operating’ with Westminster in these projects.

Have they the mandate to do so….NO.

Was any of this in their last Manifesto…..NO.

Have we been shafted?…..YES.

Don’t be fooled by yesterday’s budget announcements or should I say Party Political Broadcast, they are selling Scotland from under our feet.

The headlines were a diversion!

If we fail to get our act together now, the Scotland we know and love will be gone forever.

Some things are sacred, our culture and our countryside are two of them! It is one thing to build dams high up in mountains, unseen, but quite another to destroy areas thousands come to visit.

Not to mention the environmental damage and decimation of fish within that Loch.

How dare Swinney and his cohort let this happen and not even fight it?

When a Parliament works against its own people it becomes like the mafia and must be replaced.

We can and must replace it but not with more of the same. This never ending circle of disaster must stop…NOW.

All Parties and groups who believe in Direct Democracy must join as one and with one intent, to Liberate Scotland.

At the rate Westminster is taking over, 2026 may be our last chance.

We can do this and we must do this…..

Follow what works….!

There is a consensus within Scotland for the need for change, real change.

How we go about this however is an important process, one which must involve the People and yes those political Parties who are serious about Independence. It would be great if all Indy Parties were involved but the reality is, not all will.

This puts pressure on the rest of us to come up with a system that can be unique to Scotland and unite us all.

In the world of marketing strategies car companies are very good at producing new models, even models of new models! and they market them well.

In the political world, Direct Democracy is no different. Countries using DD have all developed their model, and we can too. It doesn’t have to be ‘one size fits all’! …. and the good thing is it can keep evolving.

At the moment our system is stuck in a rut, and whilst this news is good news, things won’t change….

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2024/dec/03/mps-back-proportional-representation-system-uk-elections?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR0FrOY0A-Lo5AOwLAXxNLIYqmaYeAoTvePCFUOP3NJDft8Jp6tzG3_qMdw_aem_crJM9A5dqrjM7xW23Gk_Ow

It won’t change because the present government will use the present system to stop it!

When a party, has overall control it is not in their interest to change the system that put them there.

We all have the same dream but to achieve it we have to learn to be flexible.

Flexible enough to realise there are other ideas and other methods of achieving the same goal. A workable jigsaw of ideas?

Things move slowly in politics but we don’t have much time to play with. Groups of people are starting to talk to each other but are Parties?

Conferences are where decisions are made but the work that goes on behind the scenes starts long before that.

Can we do it…..can we at least try?

Liberation is made up of a mix of people from all Parties and none and stands as a testament to what people can achieve when they lay aside their differences and focus on one thing…..join them today.

Become the solution….

There are rumblings in the long grass that groups are starting to get together to talk.

This can only be good news because when there’s talk, there’s hope!

It is right that any movement forward should be led by the People.

I am also sure that within those groups there will be some future reluctant politicians. Reluctant because they either don’t think they are good enough or do not seek a life time on the gravy train!

If this is you, then you are what Scotland needs because there will be no gravy train!

Direct Democracy will bring about that new system, tailored to our needs. But of course, even Direct Democracy will be something the people will have to decide upon. There are those within the Indy movement who believe Parliament should remain sovereign.

I would have thought Scotland has had enough of career politicians, and what we need is a new system whereby we harness the best talent we have for a short period of their lives.

Some of the greatest Politicians in the world were those who did not seek notoriety but were prepared to fill the gap.

We need to encourage those reluctant men and women amongst us to bridge the gap and become candidates in 2026. We already know some who walk amongst us.

and then there are still those on the learning curve!

Those willing to learn whose hearts beat for Scotland.

Through Liberation thousands are getting involved in the dream.

This is no pipe dream, Liberation has a real viable plan and the train is already moving.

But the final say will include us all in 2026, a Scottish Election out with the control of Westminster.

A chance to change the course of Scottish history by using your List Vote as a Pleblicite Election.

Power in your hands at last!

Join the Peoples movement.

What does it mean to ‘go rogue’?

I read a tweet today that said ‘the SNP have gone rogue’!

Let’s be honest here….dont they all?

From individuals to Parties, once voted in they just do their own thing!

And that is precisely why we need to change the system…the whole system, otherwise what’s the point?

Until Scotland wakes up to this reality we will always get more of the same.

Over the years we have become complicit in the Lie, now many believe it to be the truth. Westminster has passed Law after Law to make it so, or they think they have!

But the real truth lies elsewhere, and it is that truth that Scotland is still a Sovereign Nation with its own Constitution that will Liberate us.

And this is a lesson Westminster will soon learn!

The crisis in Scotland just now is called Apathy, and taking to the streets to march now and then ain’t going to fix it……getting out and voting in 2026 will!

We can make this a mini-referendum, [a Plebiscite election]

We don’t need anyone’s permission to do this…we just do it. {instructions will follow}

Kosovo did it and we can do it and the politicians can scream and shout all they like….the deed will be done and will be recognised by those who need to be in the Hague!

What we do need however is for everyone to get off their hobby horses and vote as one under one banner.

AUOB always had the right idea, now we must move it a step forward to a vote. Our MSPs won’t do it….so we must!

It won’t be Legal you say…..yes it will led by the Liberation movement when [very soon] to be registered and legally accepted by the EU as a Peoples Movement.

Kosovo without the war!

Start talking about Liberation in the same way as you used to talk about Independence. Make it your number-one topic of conversation!

The prize is there for the taking!

We have to Liberate ourselves, there are no knights in shining armour coming to save us. In the end is it we the people who must achieve this victory.

2026 is the legal event where this can happen, it’s the time when we can out-fox the fox!

When history records 2026 what will it say…..they went for it or they blew it?

Who is fed up with, continuity?

Every time we have an Election we seem to go around in a never-ending circle. Nothing ever changes, not just in outcomes but also in the behaviour of MPs and MSPs.

I’m not talking here about personal behaviours, as bad as they are but Political behaviour. As long as we have a system where Party Politics comes before people’s needs nothing will ever change. And as long as we have a system that locks out its people once they vote, things will only get worse.

What is the point of an Independent Scotland that chooses to run its country as a mirror of its English counterpart?

The ‘old’ system had it right and many in Europe like Switzerland have adapted their version…..its called Direct Democracy!!

One of the gold rewards of Direct Democracy is the ability to recall MPs who refuse to pass laws as directed by the people…..how I wish!!

Sadly there are those within the Independence movement who also don’t want this….we have to ask ourselves why.

This week is the Scottish budget, one which I doubt any of us asked for and none of us were consulted on!

One thing is for sure, we will all pay for Hamza’s headline announcement regarding Council Tax, as I understand there will be no cap imposed, an open chequebook for Councilsonly it will be our chequebooks they use!!

No change there then!

So, who is prepared to change a system that has never worked for us even though the Scottish Government have mitigated so much…..we could make it so much better. A system run by the people for the people.

We have so much talent in Scotland…..why not use it, along with our resources? No more ‘cap in hand’.

With a little imagination and some courage we could achieve so much.

We must talk and find an impasse, a way through the tangled web of mistrust….we must at least try.

We must re-direct our anger, and use it for good. Point it towards Westminster, not our political neighbours.

Liberation only becomes effective when we learn to liberate ourselves from all the baggage we carry!
