Enlightenment or entitlement?

Enlightenment is the light bulb moment in your life, the moment for many of maturity, or they just get it!

Entitlement is the ‘right to something’. Unfortunately, we live in an age where too many people think they are entitled to everything and it’s free! So the word gets weaponized!

Used correctly it is quite legitimate to say Scotlands is entitled to its own resources.

We are after all a Territorial Nation according to Westminster’s definition!!

So for Scotland is not either but both.

The light bulb has been switched on and we are entitled to what is ours!

The light that was switched on in 2014 somehow got extinguished as the slow creep of Unionism took over and ‘settling up became settling down’!

Now Mr Flynn says we need a strong voice in Westminster after the GE…..am I wrong in thinking we are supposed to have had that over the past 10 years? Did we not give the SNP that mandate back then?

Are we really going to fall for that crap again…..are we really?

If so, shame on us and we will get what we deserve….which will be zilch, even the crumbs will dry up.

A poll today suggests YES is now at 58%….so it’s time to get serious and join the only Movement that is really moving in a practical sense.

The Liberation movement.

https://liberation.scot/

It’s all here and it’s cross-party and none!!!

This is not in place of Yes/AUOB…it’s part of it, we are all in this together and together we can do great things.

Enlightenment and Entitlement work together.

So don’t just put your marching boots on, there are many other ways to help.

Independence will never be gifted to us……we must take it!

…..and while you’re at it read up about Direct Democracy!

Your voice will be heard all of the time not just every 5 years!!

Tipping the scales…

The scales of Justice for Scotland have been tipped since the so-called Union began, we were never meant to be ‘equal’ in any form.

So much has come to light over the last few years regarding past and present injustices yet so many remain complicit through their silence.

You can’t just turn up once a year at a rally and shout ‘YES’, believing you’ve done your bit for Independence.

To redress the balance it will take a lot more and to completely tip the scales, even more again!

Don’t fall into the trap of blaming all of our situation on Westminster when our own MSPs are just as complicit. They know the route out, they have the tools but choose not to use them and we must now hold them to account….yes we…all of us who seek Independence, otherwise we too become complicit!

Too often our silence is seen as acquiescence even authorisation!

The one thing we did authorise them to do was get Independence done, now it’s not a target just a sound bite used to dangle a carrot.

The cat is now out of the bag, with the exception of a few of our SNP MSPs they are not just sleeping Unionists, they are wide awake and busy selling Scotlands off to the highest bidders through Freeports & SEZs. Either that or they haven’t bothered reading the small print….I think its the former with some having very deep pockets!

By remaining silent we are committing an injustice not just to Scotland but also to the next generation and beyond.

It’s time to make our voices heard and show intent not just here but also Internationally.

How?

Join the Liberation movement and be part of history!

https://liberation.scot/

Let’s smash through those scales of injustice!

Belief is everything!

When you truly believe in what you are doing, you never give up!

For some success comes overnight, especially if they are building on the successes of their past. And if they are starting a new venture others will quickly jump on the wagon. Suddenly that person almost becomes like a Quasi -deity. The followers flock and he/she can do no wrong. But sustaining that kind of persona is difficult, especially in Politics. There comes a time when it’s not so much deity but more a mere earthling, like the rest of us!!

…..and the cracks start to open and like the Grand old Duke of York their followers realise they have been marched up the hill, or should I say the garden path once too often!

We still have a few!

Our real Leaders, Political or otherwise are those who doggedly plod on through all the disappointments knowing that the terra firma below their feet is solid because it is based on truth. They might not get much traction for quite a while as the big boys try to close them down, but their truth remains and quietly germinates.

Then one day those shoots start breaking ground and small becomes beautiful, metaphorically speaking!

When this happens to a small Political Party, the world sighs with relief and says…..’at last’!

Why? Because people long for truth after living on a diet of lies and more lies.

We can deal with truth, no matter how hard it is…but not lies where the ground is constantly shifting usually swayed by market forces!!

A new Scotland should always put People before profits and any profits should be ploughed back into the People!

This is our country and our resources, so we don’t want Leaders with deep pockets or shares in overseas companies. There’s nothing wrong with making a profit until it becomes greed.

We don’t want ‘oilmen’ we just want sufficient oil to meet our needs!

We have a new movement in Scotland called the Liberation Movement. Led by the People for the People, it’s foundation is the Claim of Right…a truth as relevant today as the day it was written and to date only one Political Party endorses it in full.

https://liberation.scot/

Why would this be?

Because the Claim of Right poses a threat to the most Political Parties and Politicians, after all we can’t have people tell us what we must do…can we?

Parliament before the People? No more…..

Things are changing and they don’t like it, and that includes most Independence parties!

Time to make some tough choices…..are you in….or out?

One thing you can’t do is sit on the fence!

Perspective is everything!

We all view things from a different perspective, that is because our journeys have all been different.

For instance a person who has never suffered abuse can never view abuse in the same way an abused person has, and it’s the same in many other processes.

We are all different!

But we can all try to aim for the same standards in Politics. I am not talking necessarily about policies but rather, standards in public life.

There used to be a rule that meant the family or family business of a Minister or PM could not gain from their Ministerial post……guess who has dumped that one?

There was also a rule that impropriety led to resignations!

…..and then there was ‘lying’ to Parliament….a big no..no! Now it appears they don’t lie they just misspeak!!

The book on Parliamentary Standards has been rewritten or redacted!

Is this what we want for a future Scotland?

Do we really want a country where once an MP is voted in they can do and say anything they wish? …..no…. that’s why I believe in the power of recall!

This policy fits in very well with Direct Democracy….its called People Power!

If we are re-writing the system let’s do it properly, we don’t need double standards….one will do just fine!

Only the best for simply the best….SCOTLAND!

Now you are thinking, this will be a hard get! ….will it really?

Surely we have come across people in our lives who we deem to be of the highest integrity?

I don’t mean ‘perfect’…no one is. But we can and should strive to be our best. Let’s get a different perspective on all of this, lift the bar higher!

We will only get one go at this, so let’s get the right people into the right places.

Change MUST start NOW!

Let’s get the ball rolling now!

Time has almost run out for Scotland, if we don’t start working for change now the game is up.

Freeports and SEZs are not the beginning of Scotland’s demise they are the end, the last move of the jigsaw!

For any change to happen first there must be a vision. A vision of what kind of Scotland we want for the future. What we cannot do is just tinker around the edges of what we have……we need a radical change!

For me personally, that can only be brought about by a complete democratic change, from our so-called Democracy system to Direct Democracy…and the two are very different.

Let me give you a couple of examples of how Direct Democracy is working in Switzerland. Last month Pensioners voted not to increase the age of pension entitlement and to increase their pension!

Recently on a national vote, they made all public transport free!

Now that’s what I call democracy!

Direct Democracy does not happen by magic, building blocks must be built and put in place ready to go! and the Liberation movement along with Salvo are building them right now. Taking the best models from the best countries in Europe.

We must use this next GE to make a statement of intent to Westminster, nothing will change through this GE but we can start the ball rolling!

Every person with Independence in their heart needs to get on board.

Scotland’s people must be heard, not just on an Election day but on every matter that concerns them, personally or nationally and any changes in between!

If this is your vision for Scotland then join the Liberation movement along with thousands of others.

https://liberation.scot/

….and follow a Party that fully endorses the ethos of both Salvo and the Liberation movement.

It’s time for Scotland to be ruled by Scotland‘s People, not by International Conglomerates!

Let’s get this ball rolling!

Sowing one seed at a time!

It’s that time of year again when keen gardeners flock to the Garden Centres to buy their seeds. The very keen ones go to great lengths to produce the best harvest, so out they trot with the best grow bags and plant food….yes we remember it well and we remember the bills!

But there was a point to it all, the greater the care the greater the reward, if only we were prepared to spend as much time and care sowing the seeds of Independence and Abstention!

It is important though to know the ground upon which you sow these seeds. Yesterday I met an old friend in Carlisle, before she arrived Ray said to me, ‘now remember no Scottish Politics and definitely no negative remarks about the King’😂😂

I knew my ground and kept everything very light!!!

Sow on fertile ground!….you will soon know the difference!

A General Election year does make the ground more fertile, there is more interest than normal in Politics, even if it’s the ‘whats in it for me kind’.

But that’s okay, we all have different needs that are not being met so we need to meet people at their point of need, not our own.

Everybody knows the problems they have, what they need is a way out…..it won’t be instant but the road out of this so called Union is a start and gives hope.

For some Parties however, the first blush is waning. The veil is dropping and people are voting with their feet.

Is this good for the fertile ground of Independence? Only time will tell, but public spats won’t help!

So, let’s be positive and sow the seeds.

https://liberation.scot/

Senior moments…..

Senior moments are something I am very familiar with!

So, what are they?

“an instance of momentary forgetfulness or confusion that is attributed to the aging process.”

For me the most important word in that description is ‘momentary’ and yes they are instant!…..and yes you can say something inappropriate in those seconds!

What a Senior moment is not however is having the ability to write a fairly long sentence or two which includes some erroneous information!

To write such a piece can surely only come from strong deep-held convictions.

They say there are two sides to us all, our public persona which is usually the dominant one and the one we try to hide! If the one we hide is in direct conflict with our public one then there could be a problem because one day it will spectacularly rise to the surface….for air!!

The rising of it is not the problem, the problem is those deeply hidden beliefs, the ones that betray us and show who we truly are.

We see this every day in Politics and trust lost is not easily regained.

At this critical juncture in Scottish politics, it is incumbent upon us all to be honest with ourselves, if you don’t fit comfortably with the agenda then please step aside! That might sound harsh but it’s honest!

Scotland needs above all people of integrity.

A Senior moment lasts just seconds and we usually end up laughing at ourselves, that is normal and in a strange way healthy, anything else must be questioned.
