If the result of the By-Election was ‘seismic’ the hot air following it has been of equal measure!
Anger at boiling point, blame apportioned to everyone and everything but themselves.
But the silent parties, the smaller ones are listening. Listening to understand, what happened and why.
Only by raising our words and not our voices will we be able to truly understand the message given to all Politicians yesterday. By that I mean the kind of words we use are very important. Asking the right questions in the right tone will give us the answers we need to take this country forward.
The voters who stayed at home did so for a reason, we can all speculate, but there may be more reasons than we think!
Maybe this is where Salvo can step in, a movement of people separated from politics yet with the same vision for Scotland.
We need to listen to their fears and their anger and respond in a manner that doesn’t just point to a different way but in a practical way as well.
If we want Scotland to be a caring country, we must practice what we preach, after all, we are Scotland!
Any ideas?
Could Hubs possibly offer other help?
I just feel at this time of crisis voters priorities and needs are not political but practical.
