For some, having to become part of a new campaign is just a bridge too far, they are battle-weary and disappointed beyond words, perhaps this was the plan from the beginning, to wear us down until there was no more fight left in us.

For years we have put our trust in our elected SNP Leaders, we gave our votes, our hearts and our trust expecting results only to find empty rhetoric and promises. We now know they have no desire to use the tools available to them, even if they were ignorant before, they are aware now that there is a way but refuse to walk it.

I wonder what our guests from Sweden made of it all last week, how will they record the event?

The occasion certainly did not reflect well on Holyrood, the people’s Parliament was closed to the people! No wonder there is an air of despondency around the country.

But there are enough of us to begin our own ‘power creep’ to return power to the people, return the land and the seas and all within back to Scotland. It’s ours to take, words may not be enough, but if people see action they will join. People long for action, they want to see a group that really will walk the talk.

We really have to cross the bridge and let the road take us where it will, our eyes must be on the prize not on the obstacles. individually we are weak but together we make a powerful army for Democracy. No movement of the people has been beaten in our modern lifetime because the world is looking on. And unless our leaders are akin to Mr. Putin they will not want to be seen as outstepping Democracy.

They may wrangle and squirm, but it will happen!

Time is not on our side, we see our services being decimated on a daily basis, just look and see what is happening in North Lanarkshire, nobody is listening to the people. Yes, money is tight……but how much is wasted?

Pet projects seem to take priority over people these days!

So let’s march over the bridge and keep building something new and adventurous.

When it comes to ‘land’, especially in Scotland ownership is very important, because here in Scotland right now we are about to lose huge chunks of it. With Freeports comes the biggest land grab for decades and when it’s gone it’s gone!

Who benefits? Well, it’s not you or I and it’s certainly not Scotland because with the land we also lose a lot of taxes which are needed to keep services running.

The only people who gain are those conglomerates within the fence! Not even the workers within the fence will benefit, only the bosses. Workers will get the ‘lowest’ wage going and will be denied the rights they enjoy now. It will be a race to the bottom in every respect.

One really has to wonder how the Scottish Government we’re conned into agreeing this, what was the behind the doors deal? Exactly who is pulling the strings here?

It appears the ‘whip’ doesn’t just apply to rebel SNP MSPs but Councils too. So far at the two Salvo meetings, not one Councilor has turned up either to answer questions or even find out the facts for themselves……not one!

Their silence is both deafening and telling!

The agenda running through Scottish politics just now is not in the people’s interest and must be stopped at every level. This can only happen if the principle of Direct Democracy can be established or should I say re-established.

But how can we do that? People are sick of politics, I am sick of the politics we have now. Apathy is the greatest enemy we face and coming a close second are egos even within our own!

If we are not a team, we are nothing!

But even within a team of volunteers, there has to be a ‘hierarchy’, leaders who will lead and not feel criticised for their goodwill.

We all need to think ‘out of the box’, no more ‘us and them’ a change in dynamics within group meetings maybe? Members will not come back to meetings if they don’t feel they are part of a team. Everyone should leave ‘fired up and eager to spread the message.

Our Hubs are not ‘Council meetings’ where the elite rule and all other attendees sit silently in obedience!

If this is our land, let’s start fighting for it !

It’s amazing what one comes across when meandering around the Borders. We found ourselves in Galashiels after seeing The Great Tapestry of Scotland advertised. There are in all 160 tapestries depicting the history of Scotland. The handwork was amazing. I was particularly interested in this one and the notes below!!!

But all in all they are certainly worth a visit.

I noted whilst I was away that Humza was preparing himself and the SNP for a big fall, even though those doing the groundwork in the by-election area seem to be on the up! Strange way to encourage his protege.

It’s conference season again or should I say ‘party time’! The booze flows, and the gossip grows, new ideas float in the air and disappear as quickly as they appear, all meant to create a happy, clappy atmosphere amongst those and such. Why don’t they have these during their summer break instead of ‘work time’ ……I say ‘work’ with tongue in cheek.

We seem to have two Tory parties now, one blue, and one red. The red one seems to send Ministers out one day to announce policies just so that their honoured leader can cancel them the next day!! I am so sick of hearing the words ‘we can’t afford ……but no explanation as to why the PM won’t go after the COVID-19 fraud. Their pals got the money and we are now paying for it! Don’t you just love corrupt politicians? Nobody ever pays for their mistakes these days.

But the good news is, Trump is getting his just rewards….now for Boris!

Okay, so Westminster obviously has software that can speak and type for itself!!

Moving on, Sunday is the day the good people who live in the Falkirk area will have a real opportunity to hear the facts about Freeports. Only Salvo is offering the facts, every other Stakeholder is silent…..and yes Salvo is a stakeholder because they represent the people who will be most affected by all the threats Freeports bring.

I wonder who will be empty-chaired this time?

There have been a number of different events lately where our honoured or would-be-honoured representatives have failed abysmally in their duties. “Can’t face it, won’t face it’ comes to mind.

Much has come to light since the last Holyrood Elections, I think the next one will be very interesting indeed. A few coats on a few shoogly pegs, me thinks.

Time for real Democracy, no more pretending then going on to do their own thing. Promises made must be promises kept. No more indications then filling in the gaps later, like last time.

And we must take our part in these things, both GE and Holyrood elections. If that means being confrontational….so be it. Passive will no longer cut it!

We always knew this was Westminster’s thinking but to see it actually written down was quite an eye-opener. Not exactly what was said and registered with the EU Decolonisation Committee!

This information, plus the lockdown on Tuesday have angered many and rightly so but the opposite can also be said. This is twice in one week where Salvo can reap the rewards!

It must be very clear by now that the Woke Activist MSPs hate the normal-thinking people of Scotland. One thing that occurred to me about Tuesday was that just as Salvo we’re locked out, those within the building who do support the Claim of Right, we’re locked in!

Denied even the basic right of Free Speech. Is it not against the Law to lock people in?

But then, as we are finding out, the rule of Law only applies when certain people say so!

So, the venue backed down but the major players in this Hustings have run to the hills!

Just like yesterday’s event at Holyrood, people including women don’t matter. I will go further……Human Rights no longer matter in Scotland.

To-date only one woman is prepared to stand up and be counted. I do however wish to thank the men who have indicated their acceptance to the invitation……and yes I am going to thank the Tory Candidate for speaking out!

Whilst our Government is spending thousands defending their ludicrous Bill, yet refusing to see what is before their eyes, others with guts must speak out, like Ash Regan on GB news last night. Wonder how long it will be before she is hauled up before the committee!

And I know those ‘others’ will speak up tomorrow night in Rutherglen.

If ever there was a day when our MSPs shot themselves in the foot……yesterday was that day! And to do it in front of Bruno Kaufmann was the icing on the cake for Salvo!

Bruno Kaufmann is the President of the Initiative and Referendum Institute Europe who came over to speak and ‘observe’! Well he certainly observed something! and very soon all of the EU will know as well.

Democracy died in Scotland yesterday, also the notion that the People are Sovereign died yesterday as far as Holyrood is concerned.

Now we know beyond any doubt that we the People mean nothing to our Unionist arm of Westminster, and at any elections forthcoming we need to show our response to yesterday’s appalling response.

They have provided us with the ammunition, now more than ever we must use it.

I was hoping to get at least a couple of weeks off!!!!

If one day is a long time in Politics then 5days is an eternity.

Today Salvo are at Holyrood handing over the Stirling Directive, this will in effect put our MSPs on notice that it is their legal duty to carry out the wishes of the electorate and the mandates given to them. There is a new road and they know it!

Then later on this afternoon, Bruno Kaufmann will give a talk on what true Democracy should look like. This talk which I hope will be recorded comes none too soon. Last week when the ‘whose who’ in English Labour Politicians, ie Rachel Reeves walked the streets of Rutherglen like an oppressive landlord does, she made it quite clear that even if Scotland voted for Independence……….we ain’t gonna get it.

So, UDI it will be once we have been to the European Courts to clear up the little matter of our status within this not-so-United Kingdom!

Then yesterday there was another blow to democracy, the WWW Hustings in Rutherglen has been stopped, claiming that this organization is Political and anti-trans!!!

They are not anti-trans they are anti-GRA & Self ID, which puts women in danger. It was also a Cross-Party Hustings. This will not bode well for the bodies who cancelled it as their actions are in direct opposition to the ECHR.

Yep, it’s all happening in Rutherglen!

Both of these incidents show how Scotland needs to change because we have no Democracy. Very befitting then for Democracy Day.

Westminster is the train we need to get off, and very quickly.

Twitter has been lively today with various comments about last night’s game……well not so much the game as much as the booooing! It appears McCoist thinks all those supporters belong to the SNP 😂😂. I can just hear Humza saying, ‘I wish’ !

It would be great if we in Salvo could harness all that energy. Whatever last night’s vocal rebellion was about, it showed the tide is turning, albeit slowly.

Are we up to reaping the apparent harvest?

It is hard to keep up the physical and emotional energy needed and sometimes it is necessary to take time out. Working voluntarily is never easy but for those volunteers in a position of leadership, it is even harder to steady the ship with a lot of different personalities among the crew.

If we really want this to happen, teamwork is crucial and that means listening to one another just like we listen to those we seek to win over.

The COR may be the bricks we build upon but we are the mortar that binds those bricks together…..are we not?

Maybe we need a song of our own!
