I was sitting the other night with glass in hand looking towards the Kyles of Bute when these words popped up on FB spoken by a well-known presenter whose career has gone belly up due to the lies, or rather “the lie that just got too big”
I began to ponder over that phrase in relation to Scotland and the Claim of Right. To bury something so deep in the hope that it will never be found and then go on as if it never existed is to live a lie, a big lie!
We in Scotland are beginning to realise just how big that lie has become. Scotland’s true history is coming to light and it’s nothing like what we were taught at school, and when something this big happens, change has to come!
There is injustice and there is injustice but this is injustice on a grand scale. Grand theft auto doesn’t even touch the edges!
Forgive me for quoting the Good Book, but there is a verse I often quote and it is this, ‘ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free’. You know, I happen to believe that!
Thanks to Salvo, our truth, our true story is being rewritten and that truth will I believe one day set Scotland free. But here’s the thing, knowledge is only power if we take that power into our own hands and do something about it. Otherwise, it just remains words on a document.
The ‘lie’ is out, the can of worms has been opened and there’s nothing Westminster can do about it as much as they try to. Sara’s work is already being talked about beyond our shores, there is no going back only the process to be worked on and we are part of that process!
Don’t just preach to the converted, tell everyone! It’s in our nature as Scots to tell a good story, and what better story to tell than how Scotlands lands have and are being raped and pillaged on a daily basis and now they are coming for our water. Not to buy it, but to take!
We can do this!

The Claim of Right 1689, according to the Records of the Parliaments of Scotland, was one of 83 Acts of the Old Scottish Parliament that are still in effect as of 2017 when reported.
It is of course the most important Act of the 83 as it defines Scotland’s Constitution and protects our rights that have been so massively abused by this toxic union!
We frequently state that Scotland is a colony, which is true, but it is also England’s oldest colony and it has outlasted all those nations now free of the British Empire.
I used to think that Scotland’s colonial status was relatively recent (perhaps a couple of hundred years) but it is now clear that the British Empire used Scotland as a template for the subjugation of it’s overseas colonies.
Only a Scottish Parliament with full Constitutional Powers, can change any Scottish Constitutional Powers in use in 1707, before the then Scottish Parliament went into abeyance, they remain extant. The Claim of Right being acknowledged in Westminster within recent times. The Treaty of Union, states specifically (as a safety net perhaps) that Scots Law is superior within Scotland to English Law. The Westminster Parliament has no power, legally or constitutionally, to change any of those Scottish Constitutional Powers, regardless of any otherwise claims.
Not just our water but our energy too. Scotland has more resources than most. If only she would realise it and stand tall amongst all the other independent nations of the world. Scotland is the exception rather than the rule – being under the rule of another larger country which can always outvote it. It seems remarkable to me that we ever allowed this to happen in the first place and then continued with it this long. Onwards and upwards though as the truth will out.
