Why oh why?

The history of Scotland that we have been taught and the true history of Scotland are two entirely different things!

Before any country can move forward it has to understand its history, it has to know why we are where we are. Scotland has a unique history, a rich history, a history that has been hidden by Politicians for year’s, yes even Scottish Politicians.

We have a right to know how and why this happened. Perhaps the WHY is easier to answer than the HOW!

From early on Scotland has led the field in many areas from, Education to Medicines [ Alexander Wood in 1853 created the first hypodermic needle and Sir James Young pioneered the use of Anaesthetics during surgery and along side many more was Alexader Fleming who was involved in the discovery of Penicillin]

We also lead the world in Inventions, [ the threshing mill by Andrew Meikle, Radar by Alexander Watson Watt, Tarmac for our roads, the Bicycle, the flushing toilet and of course The Television.]

Scotland was seen by the world as one of the most progressive countries in the world even under English dominance. Then came the oil and the thumb screws were tightened. First, they tried to hide it then once out they tried to minimize how much. Even at the last Referendum they [Westminster ] tried to say it was running out.

How have our English Lords managed to take control? By assuming that because they are the ‘bigger’ partner, and I say partner with tongue in cheek, they have passed Act after Act to take control over us and our assets.

But as I have said before, an Act does not usurp an International Treaty!

The thing that is so appalling about this is our Scottish MPs have sat back and allowed this to happen. Only one Scottish MP has ever stood up for Scotland using the Claim of Right, Willie McRae and we all know what happened to him!

Scotland is a great country run by poor Politicians and there needs to be change.

If the People are Sovereign then the people need to ACT!

Don’t just take my word for this, read the facts for yourself at,

The Woke world we live in!

The meaning of the word is”alert to racial prejudice and discrimination”. Never has such a word been twisted and manipulated in the way it has. It has been hijacked.

The rogue element of the Woke organisation have turned the word into a weapon! A word to excuse their bad behaviour , a word used to attack and yes physically attack women, a word used to force their presence into Women’s protected spaces that give them safety and dignity.

And it is spreading around the world like a virus!

Now Woke has entered the literary world, Roald Dhal and also the James Bond books, will it be the Bible next?

I am pretty sure when this all started in 2010 in America no one would have expected it to be used in the world in this manner and for this purpose.

This an example of the Scottish woke culture today!

Hate oozing out of every pore!

Let me say again I hate discrimination aimed at any minority group but in my lifetime I have never seen with my own eyes any discrimination towards the Trans people and to be perfectly honest the only group these agitators have hurt is the rest of the Trans population.

The words and the outward behaviour of these agitators shows only hate for women, so why do they want to become one?

I will leave it to you to answer that question!

In Scotland, we have a chance to stop the march of this virus, two of the three candidates to become the next First Minister will stop the GRR in its track. It’s probably dead in the water anyway but at least they have nailed their promise to the mast!

The alternative is unbearable, not just as we are, but we’re coming for your kids next!

As one of the Candidates said yesterday, ‘the tail does not wag the dog’

If you have a Faith pray, if you don’t then hope!

I get this, I really do!

In Scotland Politics has become almost like a Religion. And under the rules of a certain Party if you don’t agree, you are out! Which in my humble opinion makes it worse than any Church or Faith. More like a Cult.

There is no forgiveness in Politics and only one Party adheres to the Policy of allowing Freedom of Conscience!

Heavy it is, you either love them or hate them with nothing in the middle, no compromise. Those who hate do so with avengence and those who love do so in such a way that they fawn over their Leader. I joke not, I’ve witnessed this with my own eyes and it worries me……a lot.

Both Love and Hate are powerful emotions when it comes to Politics. Both can blind a person, both allow a person to make decisions based on emotions and not fact.

Leaders are treated as demi-gods and some act as if they are, revered and also feared as such. Such is the heady mix of Love and Hate.

The vilification of Kate Forbes over her religion is similar to that of Mary Queen of Scots, will we ever grow up? I suppose it comes down to, does it matter if the person who leads a country has a Faith or not?

Well, look at our last one, who appears to have had no Faith, look where we have ended up. You can’t judge a person until after the event.

I’m sure as we look back on this period of Scottish Politics we will see the funny side of it, some already do!

Birds of a feather…….

For those following the SNP Leadership race to the top, or bottom if you wish😜 it will have become apparent that although there are three candidates the race has actually split into two categories.

The old and the new!

The ‘old’ and by that I mean the GRR crowd who by the way know where all the skeletons are including the money trail, and on that note this should be important to all because most of us are ex-SNP and gave money to the cause of Independence.

The proverbial s..t has hit the fan today but most of us knew it was coming!

So the ‘new’ two have an opportunity, whoever wins to bring a new broom with them! Promise to clear up the mess, find the truth and get on with the business of Independence.

There are those who imply two of them will lurch the Party to the Right. Just what do they mean by that? Far-right Politics or bringing honesty and integrity back into Politics?

It seems to me a bit of the latter would not go amiss!

I met with a great bunch of ordinary honest people yesterday in Glasgow and felt heartened by their wish for honest Politics and that is really the crunch of it for me, honesty!

Birds of a feather really do flock or stick together and in this race, the ‘old’ SNP have shown us just how far they will stick together. If a Party, any Party has to pay people to work for them then they have already lost the argument.

Only ‘people power’ will bring about Independence, people with fire in their belly, the determination to crack on with or without Politicians. Some can do more than others, and some are more able than others in health or mobility but the one thing we can all do is spread the word and support each other.

Perhaps the most important thing we can do whilst Yellow on Yellow fight it out amongst themselves is sign the Salvo, Edindburgh Proclamation.

https://liberation.scot/

and then if you wish join a Party that has no baggage, one of the first Indy Parties to challenge the SNP, the first Indy Party to fight for Womens Rights, the first Indy Party to fight the GRR.

Small is beautiful and small can only grow!

Whatever you do, be on the right side of history!

Does Faith matter?

There are many who say what is going on within the SNP leadership has nothing to do with people out-with the Party. In many respects that is true but only 50% true!

Because this is no ordinary Leadership race. In one respect I don’t care who becomes Leader of the SNP but in another sense, this person will become The First Minister and that does affect us all.

The kind of person who will eventually lead this country, hopefully towards Independence is very important.

The disgraceful onslaught of the media on Kate Forbes over the past couple of days does not reflect well on Scotland in particular the Scottish Press. What is more disturbing however is the lack of condemnation from Humza! Ash Denholm has condemned it but no one else from the SNP hierarchy, instead many have condemned her for being so honest yet they have all known for year’s what her Faith beliefs were. It seems Faith is only a Protected Status when people feel like it.

Such is the integrity of the SNP at large.

Having any kind of honesty and integrity is one of thee most important requirements of any Leader.

Today one of the most important statements regarding this Leadership race has been announced and it is quite astonishing although very welcome.

We all have Faith in something or someone, we all have different beliefs on many subjects but we don’t ram them down people’s throats. Let us never forget the GRR Bill was rammed down our throats to the point where not even the SNP MEMBERS we’re given a say. So please don’t accuse people with a personal Faith of being dangerous.

The dangerous ones are the ones who silence everyone who disagrees with the ongoing agenda.

Don’t get stuck in the past!

Scotland is reflecting at the moment. Reflecting on the past few years, reflecting on the now and reflecting on what the future might be.

Many are angry, angry at what might of been, I understand that but Scotland as a people must not let that anger hold us back from looking at the now. Lessons from the past are meant to be learned, and applied to the now to plan for the future.

Believe it or not, we are actually further forward than we were 8yrs ago. We have learned which way we cannot go, Sec30!

We have learned the English Courts will never agree to us holding a Referendum because they are not prepared to look at our Legal history passed a certain point……the point that suits them!

We have learned through SALVO that International Law is above English Law and we have learned that an Act of Law can not usurp a Treaty.

So, we are a lot further forward!

So, let’s lift our heads again, be prepared to learn again and get on with the task ahead.

London thinks it’s over, but it isn’t, we the people, not the Politicians are just beginning!

Beginning a new journey on a new road using the new tools we have and knowing more will come.

I have come accept that at my age I may never see an Independent Scotland but I still have the vision and that vision will keep me engaged until I am no more.

Is Democracy just an optical illusion?

The world of Politics is without doubt a place where visual perception appears to differ from reality. We see this nearly everyday when we listen to Westminster Politicians and lately we’ve seen it in Scotland.

The Tories have had no less than three Leaders in the last year and not one of them seemed to live in the real world, to be honest none of them do. They live in a world where money means everything and everything they do is about money. The more they amass the more out of touch with reality they become.

Here in Scotland, we have always expected more of our Politicians and to be fair as far as money is concerned they have stood the test but when it came to living in the real world on other matters they failed.

All things GRA became a hill too far! A Leader must always accept the blame for the failure but let us not forget she had people around her to guide her. It has been that collective failure that has reduced the membership of 100.000 to 75000 and still dropping. Every member of her Cabinet is equally tarnished with regard to this Bill. Therefore nothing will change for the SNP until the whole cabal go.

Someone with a new broom, someone to appeal to all. Who knows what could happen, members may even return if the focus went back to Independence.

This is a God-given chance for the SNP to refresh, refocus and bring all Indy Parties together, “ All under one banner” would truly mean something again!

No more ‘one trick pony’ Politics.

We all have an important part to play, different branches of the same tree!

Democracy does not have to be an illusion. IT CAN GROW GIVEN THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT.

Politics can be likened to a Bear Pit!

So, the Lady is going!

For those of us with a keen ear to the ground, this will not have been a great surprise. I said to someone only yesterday it would be sooner than later in order to give the SNP time to rebuild and focus before the next GE.

Although I welcome this, I do so because of the failures of her Party over the past 4-5 yrs, it was never personal for me unlike members of another Party who’s hate oozed out of every word they wrote on SM. Which incidentally was returned in equal measure by some SNP members.

Unfortunately, those words will only intensify in my opinion because it is only human nature to lay the blame for her demise on someone.

But what is done is done and there is no point in looking back, I think a new battle will commence, one within the SNP itself. We on the outside can only speculate on who the runners and the riders will be in this race because the one thing we do know is the Party is deeply divided on several issues none more so than the GRA.

The question I now ask myself is, will those who were whipped into silence on the GRA now be free to speak?

Would it even matter if they did?

Integrity is not about the ‘afterwords,’ it’s about the present. You don’t put your head above the parapet after the battle is over!

Showing you have integrity means taking a risk, speaking out where there is wrong. Some did, Ash Denham had courage and integrity on this matter.

Of course, some of the runners will be those who feel ‘entitled’ and there are a few. Some with a few blemishes of their own going as far back as the Salmond fiasco.

Let battle commence in the Bear Pit that is Scottish Politics!

I really don’t know what to say about this!

https://twitter.com/bmaryindy/status/1621849058208874496?s=61&t=nZyD-EuOf-rP0m5u8wah0g

What on earth is happening to this Country and who must take responsibility?

https://twitter.com/aja02537920/status/1617143941111123968?s=61&t=rSev-5j-8DYjnlLL13RzcA

The Police are obviously taking the previous threats seriously but as yet we have heard nothing from our First Minister.

Maybe that is because some if not all of the blame lies at her feet. At no point have any women who oppose only a couple of points in the GRA Bill have they ever crashed Trans Activist’s Rallies.

All of this could have been avoided had the SNP/Greens accepted a couple of Amendments, but no, the Boss, who by the way in this instance was not Nicola but Maggie Chapman blocked everyone!

I won’t refer you to certain articles that have appeared on SM this week about the close relationship between certain Parties and the Trans Activists which is very worrying, I say Activists to separate them from the normal Trans movement who are horrified by events.

Please do not turn your anger against Trans people in general, they have become collateral damage because of this Bad Bill.

For the Police to take these actions has moved everything on to another level. A level that makes my heart cry.

Do women really have to die due to male violence before the Scot Gov step in?

The Independent Bloggers.

They say Bloggers can be very influential people, especially Political bloggers.

May I first say I do not see myself as a ‘blogger’, I see myself as a very small fish in a very big sea! I rant, my words are few. I don’t see the point in writing 1000 words when I can say what I want to in a 100. That takes nothing away from the serious Bloggers who manage to draw us in on a daily basis. They are the gifted ones, I am not!!

My thoughts are my own and if perchance I am able to pass on some information, good.

So, back to the big beasts, the ones that genuinely pass on the messages we need to hear, the Independent ones and by that I mean those not tied to any Political Party, they may also do Podcasts with a variety of guests across the divide.

We look to them for impartial comment.

Comment not to be found on mainstream blogs or podcasts like the BBC which have become the political arm of the Tory Party.

But what happens if any of those bloggers get swept up by a Political Party, even elevated to a position on the Board?

Can they still call themselves Independent?

Political Parties are on manoeuvres all the time, planning for the next event, so they build their arsenal. What better person can you have in your army than a well-known blogger? A person with perceived influence. So you reel them in like a fish on a hook! Once caught and given a position they are now owned!

No more broadbased articles, no more interviews with those with other ideas if you also have a Podcast.

Their new job would be to reel you in, yes you! At first reading or listening to the blogger may seem no different than before, only the keen ear will notice the difference between then and now.

There is only one agenda now and it’s the Party agenda.

Could that happen in Scotland? Would any of our bloggers even contemplate giving up their autonomy?

Politics is a funny old game where people never think twice about giving up their integrity for ego!

I pray our bloggers are above that in Scotland.
